It's 16 degrees on this NFL Divisional Playoff Sunday morning. Both birds and squirrels have visited the bird bath. We also have a shallow pan with a heater on the ground for smaller mammals. We'll replace it with an Allied product because of the constant temperature and uniform heat distributon

While it's a bit expensive, this birdbath is (in my opinion) worth the price. The bowl itself is what's heated so there are no cords hanging or showing, you simply run an extension cord through the column and plug it in to the bottom of the bowl. No ugly de-icers needed here either! So far the water has stayed unfrozen in -12C weather.
