Hard to use

After two years of use this facuet began to have problems with turning the handles on and off. Some days the hot water handle could barely be budged on. I had a plumber look at it--even had the install manual handy--and he could not fix it. The faucet looks great and my problem may be the exception--but I am replacing it with the single handle Forte which I have had in another bath for two years with no problems.
