Knoll ® Salsa® Settee - Salsa Settee and Optional Shelves

Designed by Paul Aferiat and Peter Stamberg

Distinguished architects Paul Aferiat and Peter Stamberg collaborated with Knoll to produce the remarkable Salsa Lounge Seating Collection. They began working together in 1976, and in 1989 founded Stamberg Aferiat Architecture. Their guiding philosophy is finding simple solutions to difficult architectural problems.

The Design

The Salsa Lounge Seating Collection is a dynamic and versatile offering from Paul Aferiat and Peter Stamberg. Their collaboration has produced a highly customizable collection that will accommodate a wide variety of interior spaces and can take on a vibrant or more conservative tone depending on upholstery and finish. With grommets, optional shelves attach to Salsa’s natural wood frame, providing you with convenient storage and display space for your personal and decorative accents. The splayed legs of these pieces create a playful dance across the floor. Both leg and shelf options are available in a palette of lively colors, inspired by one of their favorite artists, Matisse.
