Great Purchase from Yorktown, VA on 01/09/2013 – Verified Buyer
I bought this cat tree as a Christmas gift for my adult sons kitten. I put the tree together prior to my sons arrival for the holidays. Every time I turned around, I found my 12 yr old cat inside the house! I never thought he would use the house. He has his own tree on the screened porch but none inside so I decided to get him his very own Shanghai Mansion. After all, my old kitty is the best cat ever and hes worth it!

Regarding the product, it is very stable, has a relatively small footprint, fits great in a corner or along a wall, by the window etc. I like that the top perch is padded and has a border around three sides so my cat wont fall off in his sleep when he stretches. The confirguration makes it easy for an older cat to use yet still intersting and fun for a younger kitten. Shipping is fast.

Kitty Haven from NC on 02/27/2013 – Verified Buyer
When I took the pieces out of the box and started constructing the house, it didn't take long for my cats to start exploring it. They didn't even wait for me to finish building it.

I've now had this product for a while, and despite the opinion that it would go unused after a while, my cats still enjoy their tree. They've been a bit rough on it and some of the posts are a bit loose now, and will need to be tightened, but they pay no mind to that. The slide looking attachment didn't stay attached, but they still use it as well.

When first purchased my two kittens could share the bed on top with room to spare. One of them still loves that top perch, though he doesn't fit quite as well as he once did. (He's about 12 pounds now.)

Each of the three cats spend time lazing about on the various perches, sometimes just hiding out at the bottom. And the two younger ones (with claws) really enjoy the sisal rope posts.

71" Shanghai Cat Tree from Joplin, MO on 11/12/2014 – Verified Buyer
I bought this for my cat Puss-Puss. She was using the staircase as a scratching post so I decided to find her something more appropriate to use. I call this her cat mansion. There as so many levels and areas to claw. She likes to be up high and look down at us from the loft above. There is not one day that she doesn't use it. This cat tree is well made and sturdy. The carpet, toy, twine and overall structure is still intact and I have had it for over a year. You can't go wrong with this item for your cat!

GREAT CAT TREE! from Martinsville, VA on 10/09/2015 – Verified Buyer
My cats are declawed and I was lucky to find this cat tree that is designed for declawed or elderly cats who can not climb. The design allows them to jump from platform to platform without having to climb and they can still be up high like they prefer. Also this cat tree stated it was made of non toxic material and it certainly is. I could only detect the slight odor of natural wood and that dissipated quickly. I am also glad it was the soft fleece material and not carpet. It arrived safely with no damage and all the parts and hardware was in the box. So no complaints on this cat tree.

Pros: Non toxic, no bad odor at all, soft fleece type material, easy to put together, designed for cats that have been declawed or are elderly and can not climb, and has cat scratch post and optional cat scratch rail in case you also have cats with claws.
Cons: None!

Great product for the price from Albuquerque, NM on 11/08/2015 – Verified Buyer
Nice, sturdy product. Bigger than I thought it would be. I put catnip on the different levels to entice my two adult cats to jump on it. I just set it up, but so far so good! I'm not very handy, so it took me a little time to set it up but all the parts were included. I received the cat tree quickly!

Great affordable quality product! from queen creek, AZ on 10/30/2015 – Verified Buyer
This is my second kitty mansion cat tree. We had some trouble with missing parts on the first one, but the company sent out the replacement parts right away and couldn't have been nicer about it. That being said, I was a little concerned that this second tree might also be missing pieces, however it came with easy to follow instructions and all of the pieces were present. My cat was climbing on it as I put it together, layer by layer, and she loves it. It's sturdy and well made. Friends and family who have come by couldn't believe the low price of this quality cat tree. It looks much more expensive and every time I see my cat scratching the posts, I think of my leather couch that she hasn't scratched at all and I know it's money well spent.

Pros: easy to assemble, quality product, cat loves it
Cons: none

Looks wonderful from pendleton, OR on 09/20/2015 – Verified Buyer
Looks very sharp, the grey color is lighter than it appears in picture, but actually like it even more. My 7 and 11 year old put it together by themselves in about an hour without any help from me! The carpet is very soft, probably won't hold up for too long if the cat scratches it too much, but we'll see. Hoping the cat will focus on the actual scratch posts as they will hold up fine since it is more of a rope material there. Very happy with purchase especially since we got it for half off, which was a big savings compared to getting one similar at the big box stores!

Pros: looks great, super soft material, easy assembly, several scratch posts
Cons: carpet more of a material than a carpet may not hold up if cat scratches it

Great value for the price from Toronto on 12/04/2015 – Verified Buyer
This tree lasted about 3 years before it finally became too much of an eyesore to keep in the living room. It was still pretty functional but the cats had ripped off a lot of the sisal on their "favorite" posts. I considered re-buying the same one but I have since moved to a smaller apartment and there isn't really room for a cat tree this large.

I have medium-large sized cats (British Shorthairs) and the house was too small for them to use. One of the cats would use the top perch (he's about 12 pounds), although it really didn't look that comfortable. There were no stability issues with them jumping and scratching on it.

I would do a commercial for this product! from Florida on 03/08/2012
I love this kitty mansion. Super easy to construct. Nicely made. I thought my cat would love it because of its height. She's 13 and still really active, but perhaps her climbing days are over. She wasn't comfortable being so high up, and the overall large scale seemed to scare her. But here's the coolest thing about this product. Posts and fittings, for the most part, are interchangeable. We reconfigured it a little, removed the higher posts and attached the round bed to the top of the box house, and . . . voila, she loved it. It's lightweight enough to be moved, but sturdy. But in the event we don't want to move it around, we can always carpet a different base, screw in the posts and platforms that we removed, and we have another kitty mansion. Only small criticism is it could be a little more padded. Overall, awesome product!

Good cat tree, probably best for small cats or kittens from Paoli, PA on 11/19/2014 – Verified Buyer
It's a really great cat tree and our cats do like it when they get on it. It fits the description and it's actually a nice looking thing to have in our house. Our cats are larger, older cats though and they don't jump and climb quite like they used to. I would say, if you're a first time cat tree purchaser and you have older, larger cats, go with something with less climbing places. If I were to do it over, I might go with something a little smaller with less holes. The bed and the hidey hole are good places to keep cat toys, but our cats won't go in them. I didn't really heed the previous reviews I read about big cats, and I wish I had.

not really for older, fat cats
