My cats were very excited when it arrived. Cliffy my Lynx helped every step of the way. Trying out every new level we assembled. I have never put anything together with a Cat. Would of had it together sooner without the extra help. I bought this to put in my cat run that is connected to the house. I needed something that would be weather proof. My thoughts on construction: I am pleased to say it holds both of my 20lb plus cats. I did anchor the bottom with tent spikes. To secure it from the weight and weather. I am pleased with the quality and price of item. Would recommend to all feline owners.
We All Love the Kitty City

In a small NYC apartment, I think whatever cat play environments are going to take off a lot of "real estate" and be very visible. Not only are traditional cat trees ugly, they're hard to keep clean and they're very expensive. The first time I saw one of these kits, I knew I had found the right thing, appealing to both me and my cats, and well within my budget. Though my cats are seniors and don't play as much as they used too, they love having their own environment to hang out in. In fact, one cat is asleep on one of the top levels as I write this review. And the lower levels are easy for the less mobile cat to access. Pros: Attractive, logical, affordable and flexible configurations Cons: Not as sturdy as it could be, with cats jumping all over it.

I recently purchased this for my 17 lb, 5 yr old cat. He takes a while to acclimate to new things but I've already caught him sleeping on it a couple times, I'm hoping he'll be a bit more active with it, so far that's a no-go. As far as the product itself, it was as pictured and expected. As others mentioned, the pieces were tricky to assemble and came apart easily IF the pipes weren't fully connected. Once I noticed this I made sure to connect each one till I heard it click/it could go no further, I'll still need to check the connections as I'm sure they'll come loose over time as others have said. Despite that issue, I like how light it is and it looks way easier to clean which always wins points with me, overall I'm pleased with my purchase. Now if only my cat will agree and use it more...only time will tell! Pros: Lightweight, easy to clean, looks nice, great activity centre for energetic cats/kittens, comfortable cat beds Cons: Takes a while to assemble, pieces can become loose and need to be regularly checked/fastened
One cat likes it, the other is too lazy to jump up on it.

I put this in the family room by a window. My 8-yr old cat loves laying on the top level to look outdoors or sleep. The 12-yr old cat has trouble jumping unless it's onto a larger surface. I thought I could entice her into the bottom cubby with cat-nip but she didn't go for it. II've taken it apart and reconfigured it but the pictured set-up seems to work well. I may get some additions, like the bed, or pieces to make it bigger so the old kitty will like laying on it to. I found that if you set the unit on each side, one at a time, and press firmly the poles will snap into the connectors tightly so it doesn't wobble. My cats are both quite large and heavy and the unit is sturdy enough.
Great product overall

With this set and the bunker, we made a 3 x 3 contraption that we have anchored to the wall with a simple strap :) Unfortunately, one of the scratch ramp's tubes bent in two while I tried to push it down into the hole it was meant to go in, and the sisal part is pulling away from the fabric into a huge irreparable hole, so I'll have to toss that part out soon. Also, one of the Velcro strips is coming off the fabric : We made do with it for now, but I don't see us keeping this thing for more than a year or two. I was hoping for something more permanent. I'll have to build my own cat house, like I'd planned in the first place :) I've had this for about two weeks now in total.

I love that these can be configured in literally any way you desire. It can get a tad wobbly, but this is easily fixed by making sure you really push the poles in tightly. The brown fabric pieces are popular with the cats, but they (along with the velcro strips) collect hair very easily and it's a bit tough to get the hair off of them. But this is my only complaint. I use these in an animal shelter and they hold up well. I love that the pieces can be washed. Great product.
Great product, but requires some upkeep

This kitty condo is easy to assemble and you can configure it into a variety of designs, it can also be expanded upon with additional kitty city condos and parts. all of my cats really enjoy climbing all over it they range in ages and sizes, it has withstood a lot of use over the past few months. However you do need to perform routine upkeep on it as the various pvc joints do come loose and the pipes do become separated from time to time. it is easy to slip them back into place though. Overall my cats love this condo I like how it can be assembled into a variety of designs.

Quick and effecient business transaction. For the most part, very durable. My two cats LOVE it. However there are two flaws.. it did not take long for my cats to get the balls from the strings. This does not bother me bc they still play with them. The one thing I hate is that after awhile after playing in the perches, the poles slip out of their slots and you have to reassemble them. Not a tough chore considering its an easy step but you want to keep a eye out so it don't topple down on kitties.
not too shabby

Overall a good purchase. Our cat enjoys playing with the posts and climbing it to get to the window. Downside is that assembling it was a pain. The parts did not want to click together and frequently attaching one part led to another disconnecting. Also some of his more enthusiastic pounces have also led to needing to reattach pieces. Dither more our cat has no interest in the jingle balls. He likes feathers and strings so we have attached some of his other toys we purchased to get him initially interested in the kitty city. But now he really enjoys it.
Very nice but not the most structurally sound

The poles constantly come apart when the cat jumps on kitty city and requires supervisionfrequent maintenance to ensure that the poles are always fully connected and in place. Additionally the middle blue enclosure has ripped off from the fabric on top. It will either need to be stitched back on or totally removed. Otherwise the cats love it and heavily abuse it, which is why it requires frequent maintenance.
