Works fine but you have to keep the book around.
Dany from LAncienne-Lorette, QC– Verified Buyer
The scale works fine, it seems precise enough. The only downer is you have to keep the book around to know the food codes to have the nutritional facts. Not that its not the case with other scales, but its a bit annoying. Were in the era of ipads and all, it would have been interesting to have a seach function or something. But I guess for the price, its excellent nonetheless.

Worth the little extra to have exactly what I want.
A great little item

[...]The instructions are simple. If you can set a wrist watch you can operate the scale.I am diabetic and use the scale to weigh and obtain carb content in foods. It is very accurate and provides all the information I need to determine my insulin needs for a food item.As an older person I found the readout screen a bit small and a back lit screen would help but as with all things, if you add to it,it becomes more costly. I'm happy with the scale even if I do have to put on my reading glasses to read the screen.I would and have recomended it to others.
Need A Magnifier to see numbers!

I Can't read the dark tiny print and unless you have a flashlight in your hand you can't read what you are weighting. I read somewhere that they made a backlight, since this seemed to a major problem with this product. I guess I will give it to someone with (Twenty-Twenty vision). Don't buy this if you have poor vision or you are older then 50yrs.
