It easily kneads dough (I just made fresh pizza dough in about 10 minutes) and is easy to clean. The only criticism I have (and this is really slight) is that the bowl-lift model is more difficult to reach into or add ingredients into than the hinged model (which I've used at my sister's). Averie from San Diego, CA	5.0 2/5/2012 Quality Machine After years (decades) of wanting a stand mixer, I got this one and although I love it, there is very little "space" in between the beater and the top of the machine and the bowl causing me to have to shut the mixer off in order to add things like sugar or flour without feeling as if it will spill since all the parts feel so close, if that makes sense. I don't know if this is because it's a bowl lift and the tilt head has more "space" but that's my only negative and maybe all stand mixers are made this way and it's just a new-to-me thing.
