So I shopped around and I found this table at a dining room furniture store as a 3 piece for [$], then I saw this table alone for [$] at a home outlet store. The outlet store only had this one on display and it was scratched so I opted to check the internet. BINGO! This table is the exact same thing and for the price, I had to get it. I also ordered the X-back chairs that are two tone as well. It matches perfectly. The price for the three piece was still $100 less than the dining room store. [...] When the box arrives you have to assemble the table but it's easy and fairly quick. The wood is sturdy. [...] I do have a four year old boy and sometimes have to remind him not to lean on the leaf part. It's only held up by a wooden slat so you can't treat it like a solid round table. This table is as beautiful as it looks in the picture!!! We shopped all over for a 54 inch round table for our breakfast nook...didnt want to spend thousands of dollars since it is not our dining room table and we have kids using it everyday. This table looks and feels like we paid thousands, but we didnt. It took my husband five minutes to put it together...great purchase! I ordered two tables for the small space in the kitchen to go with two small backless benches. This photograph gives the impression that the table top is copper. It is not. It's a metal with a copper-like finish. One table is done nicely, the other has some spots where the finish was rubbed off, and they tried to repair the spots. It's on the side of the table, not the top, so it's not that noticeable. For the price, I can't complain too much. I replaced our 42" Dining table with a British Isles drop leaf table against my wifes better wishes. When I removed the table from the packing she left the house. I was pleased at the quality of the wood and the construction of the table. I assembeled the table in 10 mins. My wife returned and asked about some obvious marks in the wood. I told her it is designed to appear as stressed wood. Later that evening she phoned our daughter and told her "Dad bought me a beautiful new dining table".
