Kitchen & Dining Tables

I love this table. It's looks just as pretty in person as it does in the photographs. I don't have a dining room so it sits (as a 4-seater) in the corner in my large living room. It is easy to move around the room due to the wheels on one end of the table legs. But this is heavy table so moving without wheels would require at least two people. Even though it can be adjusted to a lower height, it is rather large (even folded to 4-seater) to be used as an ottoman in my opinion. The only complaint I have is with the ugly hinges when opened to full length and the difficulty in cleaning the table top. [...]Along with the price, it's leading the reasoning for the 4 star review. It was also very easy to assemble by myself (middle aged woman with arthritis)- took maybe 45 minutes but that was because I forgot the kitchen door was so narrow so the top had to be re-placed. D'oh! The finish is not the best I've ever seen but for this price I'm not expecting a masterpiece. Also, I do have the ability to do touch-up painting should it ever be required. This is a bright white on the pedestal and should be easy to match. I did consider going with a butterfly leaf system rather than the separate leaf but I think this will work best for me as I am using the table in a small kitchen in a dining nook and the 38" round top is perfect for when it's just me or me and one guest. This table would easily seat 4 but I chose this one because the leaf is 22" making a 60" long oval when I host family dinners 3 times a year. The infrequency of the larger parties made the decision to have to find a place to store the 22" leaf an easier one. The kitchen had a breakfast area but the table was too large. I looked at several tables before I found this one which is 4 inches narrower and 12 inches shorter. I also wanted oak on a pedestal. This table was perfect ahas really made a difference in getting around the table. It is not fine furniture but is very nice. Everyone comments on how well the oak matches the cabinets and how well the table size works in this area. Also this site had the table for 115 less and no shipping costs. We need to use our dining room for the computer, and just a little extra living space. This table looked like the perfect solution and it seems to be. It arrived in perfect condition. It's heavy, so you need someone with a bit of strength to set it up, but it went right together, no problem. Very sturdy, does everything the description says it does and we could not be more pleased. It's attractive as a console table and it converts to a game table or a full sized dining table with two separate leaves included.
