I was VERY leary about ordering furniture online. I wanted to see it & touch it & sit in the chairs. But, I couldn't find anything in the local furniture stores that even campared to this one - style as well as price. I took a chance & ordered it. WE LOVE IT! The wood is beautiful. I had done some research & discovered this table was made of rubberwood. Ew, that didn't sound good. But, upon further investigation, there is lots of furniture made of rubberwood, even tables I saw at Haverty's Furniture. (a higher end dealer) The wood grain is nice & the table & chairs are sturdy. The chairs were a lot more assembly that what we thought, but eventually we got them all done. They were easy, just time consuming. I love this table. It's looks just as pretty in person as it does in the photographs. I don't have a dining room so it sits (as a 4-seater) in the corner in my large living room. It is easy to move around the room due to the wheels on one end of the table legs. But this is heavy table so moving without wheels would require at least two people. Even though it can be adjusted to a lower height, it is rather large (even folded to 4-seater) to be used as an ottoman in my opinion. The only complaint I have is with the ugly hinges when opened to full length and the difficulty in cleaning the table top. The veneer wood top has groves in it which makes it easy for things to get trapped in them. I cover my table top whenever in use."..."  Read more

A lot of table for a little price. I can't believe this table is under $500 without the chairs. Very solid table and very big! The picture makes this table appear smaller, but it's very big, very solid, does not wobble and the pedistal legs are thick as well. The table top is very heavy. I could barely manage with my husband but two men can easily carry it. However, the assembly is very easy and the table and chairs are solid. The finish does scratch easy but due to the distressed look, a black sharpie does the trick at covering scratches. The table and chairs were packed very well. The finish had a bit more red in it than I was expecting from the picture but it is a great looking table for the money. The chairs are very comfortable. You can fit 8 comfortably and squeeze 10. The chair price listed is for one chair but you must order them in sets. I found the chairs on another website for half the price."..."  Read more
