I bought this table and counter height stools as our family kitchen table. It is very pretty and the built in lazy Susan is useful. It took my husband some time to put together the 4 chairs and table but that was to be expected. The only complaint I have is that the top is easily scratched. Wood oil helps disguise this as well as the pre- distressed finish. I also purchased the buffet. Sturdy, decorative and lovely. That's the good part. Why on earth though do furniture manufacturers follow this new distressing fad. I spent an hour covering up the random gashes put into the table by what were probably some very bewildered employees at that factory. First make the lovely table, then stab it with sharp implements! Distress comes naturally in the form of dents and delicate scrapes. If you have kids or if you are clumsy, in about a month. The distress on one part of the table looked like a psychopath attacked it with his dinner fork. Beyond that the table is well worth it. Five stars. A couple of small nicks on table apron but was able to repair. Needed some minor adjustments to leaf storage hardware. The aprons on one end did not latch in down position. Showed some sloppiness in assembly (staining and fitting wood pieces together with shimming). The storage system limits leg room under the table which decreases overall comfort sitting at the table for longer periods."..."  Read more
