I bought this table for an informal arrangement in my breakfast nook. The table is versatile enough to go from casual dining to formal, traditional dining. Easily seats six when round, and can seat 8-10 when the leaf is added. The pedestal is simply beautiful. It does mar easily, so if you worry about every fingerprint or water stain, this may not be the table for you. Does clean easily with a good wood polish. The table was delivered with care, and arrived unscathed. It is beefy for sure. The lines of the table and the base give it a very large presence without taking up a ton of room. Im not so keen on the hexagonal base plate on the pedestal-- but I spose it is necessary for stability. The mechanism for the leaf is super smooth and simple. The color is very creamy, - leaning toward dark cream. The finish is quite distressed, which we love, but some may not. It is heavy, solid, well made and lovely."..."  Read more
