So this is a round tabletop, yet the edges are very sharp! I suppose this is one way to retrain myself to keep my elbows off the table, but annoying nonetheless. Its a really attractive set, and the faux marble tabletop (while obviously not real marble) looks nice and hides stains. It was super easy to put the table together, but the stools were annoyingly difficult. Im giving it 4 stars for looks and because its exactly what I wanted for my small dining room space, but Id say the cons are that the table edge (if a round table can have edges) is too sharp and the stools are difficult to put together and then seem to need tightening every so often. I would cautiously recommend this set to a friend, but I would warn them of the few negatives first. Im still trying to figure out a way to make the edge of the table less painful for my arms to rest on."..."  Read more

This is a great Dining Room set. The craftsmanship is outstanding and the assembly is remarkably simple. I would reccomend using a power screwdriver with a torque setting rather than the silly allen wrench that is included. It will speed up the process, save your hands from cramping up and assure that you get every bolt tight. In previous posts it has been mentioned that the chairs were somewhat wobbly. Uning a powerdriver will eliminate this issue. Also since there are eight chairs, if you are assembling by hand, I would almost garantee that some of the bolts would be loose. We bought this set just before Thanksgiving to host the family. We got continual praise for how practical and beautiful this set is.I am 64 and my family is all rather tall - a counter height set like this just makes sense. I would highly reccoment this set and I am very impressed with Wayfair - I will be ordering more from them in the future."..."  Read more

I was a bit skeptical to have purchased a table from a website I had never heard of, but to my surprise the table was delived earlier than the expected date of delivery. The table was a cinch to put up (my boyfriend and I did it). The chairs were a bit more time consuming, i had to sit on the chair to make sure the screws were going in the right way. The finish of the table was more than I expected. The chairs came in first and by the size of the box I thought the table was going to be put together by two sides with a line going down the middle of the table but the table itself came in the next day with the box shaped like the platform of the table. My kitchen set is more than I expected! It came in one box with assembly necessary. My son assembled it with no problems at all. All tools were included except for a drill which was needed for the screws for the chair legs. There was only one little scuff on the one side of the table, but I touched it up & is not noticeable at all. It's sturdy cherry wood & hardwood.
