We have had a great experience with this dining room set. Installation was quick and easy, and the people putting it together were professional and thorough. I did end up puchasing an additional bench to make this set complete (I have two benches and 4 chairs) which makes it more than comfortable for entertaining! The only set back is the cleaning. I would not recommend this table for people with small children. We do not have any, but would expect this table to be difficult to keep clean. You need two seperate surface cleaners, one for wood and one for the glass inset in the middle. The glass is frosted and fingerprints are extremely noticeable, so if you have little hands crawling under your table, cleaning may beocme tiresome. Other than that, I have gotten nothing but compliments on the style and convenience. When I purchased this set, I was worried that the table might be too big and overwhelming, but once we got it, the shape and conponents fit perfectly in the room."..." Read more

After searching forever I finally came across the hokku grant dining set. It is exactly what I was looking for to achieve a modern look. Clean simple lines add elegance to our dining room. Comfortably seats 8. Table and leaf are good quality, heavy and sturdy. Leaf is easy to add and remove. Chairs are comfortable, great color, and seem like they will clean up well. I bought this dining room set for my new house. The metal finish looks just like it did in the picture and the chairs are very comfortable. The metal construction is heavy and solid and doesn't look at all cheap. The glass top allows you to see my beautiful hardwood floors beneath and also gives the illusion of more space in the room because you can see through it so it doesn't block your view. I expect this set to last for many years to come. I was disapointed by the hardware used to attach the decorative roping that goes around the table. There are these little balls that have a threaded rod that comes out of them. You put the threaded rod through the end of decorative roping and screw it into the table legs. Three of them broke when the threaded rod came unsoldered from the ball. I had to resolder them so I could assemble the ropes to the table leg. One of the areas where you screw the ball into the leg wasn't threaded at all and I was forced to buy a threading tool bit for my drill so that I could assemble that piece. I think the manufacturer should do a better job with quality control in this area."..." Read more
