I bought this dining room set for my new house. The metal finish looks just like it did in the picture and the chairs are very comfortable. The metal construction is heavy and solid and doesn't look at all cheap. The glass top allows you to see my beautiful hardwood floors beneath and also gives the illusion of more space in the room because you can see through it so it doesn't block your view. I expect this set to last for many years to come. I was disapointed by the hardware used to attach the decorative roping that goes around the table. There are these little balls that have a threaded rod that comes out of them. You put the threaded rod through the end of decorative roping and screw it into the table legs. Three of them broke when the threaded rod came unsoldered from the ball. I had to resolder them so I could assemble the ropes to the table leg. One of the areas where you screw the ball into the leg wasn't threaded at all and I was forced to buy a threading tool bit for my drill so that I could assemble that piece. I think the manufacturer should do a better job with quality control in this area."..."  Read more

This kitchen set is exactly what I was looking for and is a perfect addition to my chili-pepper inspired kitchen decor. The only things I would critique about it is the formica top is not a high gloss finish like the old-fashioned retro tables. It's actually a matte finish, but so far, so good. The other thing is that there are no latches on the bottom of the table to keep the two halves closed snug. I had to install them myself because I don't want debris clogging up the seam. After searching and searching for a round glass dining table that was not too large for my kitchen, I finally located this dinette set. It was the only one I could find with a diameter less than 42 inches. I wasn't sure at first whether I liked the curvy seatback design, but decided to order it anyway because of the size. When it arrived, I was very pleased. It looks really nice -- even better than the pictures show. The dark chocolate brown color has a rich, expensive look. The chair seats are an attractive beige microfiber type fabric and are fairly comfortable. The only negatives are that it took a while to get the chairs perfectly level when putting it together.
