We have had a great experience with this dining room set. Installation was quick and easy, and the people putting it together were professional and thorough. I did end up puchasing an additional bench to make this set complete (I have two benches and 4 chairs) which makes it more than comfortable for entertaining! The only set back is the cleaning. I would not recommend this table for people with small children. We do not have any, but would expect this table to be difficult to keep clean. You need two seperate surface cleaners, one for wood and one for the glass inset in the middle. The glass is frosted and fingerprints are extremely noticeable, so if you have little hands crawling under your table, cleaning may beocme tiresome. Other than that, I have gotten nothing but compliments on the style and convenience. When I purchased this set, I was worried that the table might be too big and overwhelming, but once we got it, the shape and conponents fit perfectly in the room."..."  Read more

After searching forever I finally came across the hokku grant dining set. It is exactly what I was looking for to achieve a modern look. Clean simple lines add elegance to our dining room. Comfortably seats 8. Table and leaf are good quality, heavy and sturdy. Leaf is easy to add and remove. Chairs are comfortable, great color, and seem like they will clean up well. I was a bit skeptical to have purchased a table from a website I had never heard of, but to my surprise the table was delived earlier than the expected date of delivery. The table was a cinch to put up (my boyfriend and I did it). The chairs were a bit more time consuming, i had to sit on the chair to make sure the screws were going in the right way. The finish of the table was more than I expected. The chairs came in first and by the size of the box I thought the table was going to be put together by two sides with a line going down the middle of the table but the table itself came in the next day with the box shaped like the platform of the table.
