Our existing kitchen chairs had taken quite a beating over 8 yrs ( we have 7 children) and we needed to replace them. Changing the cushions was going to cost anywhere from 50-75 to have a new cushion on an old chair. We opted to buy these new dining chairs instead and are very happy we did. Assembly was a bit tedious but, once assembled, they are very solid and look great in our kitchen. The seat cushions wipe down very well. They are heavy enough that they dont get knocked around easily but not so heavy that theyll injure one of the little ones should they pull the chair over. The name 'Ice' fits this chair perfect. It definitely looks like that was the inspiration. Look: Elegant yet funky. Great Finish. Modern, minimalist. Goes well with glass (big windows, glass furniture etc). Does not add bulk to an area. Comfort: Excellent. Sufficient back support. Nice for relaxed sitting, may not be for sitting upright at a table. Can be used at a dining/kitchen table as well as at a work table. Have sat on this chair for 3+hours with no discomfort. Assembly: Easy. Takes 5 minute. Best way is to turn the seat over and place on a counter to screw on the leg-piece. 4 simple screws with washer. Other Features: Sturdy. Easy to move without being flimsy. We bought the transparent orange with satin finish to go with our 6 seater glass table. The orange coordinates very well with our cherrywood floor and the table's wooden legs. Our home is surrounded by forest trees and hills and these chairs fit right in. The orange is a colour that blends well with greenery. The fact that the chair is translucent means that the under-floor and backgrounds can be semi-seen through the chair. Further, the colours and material take in the colours that surround them. I would suggest orange and green where the chairs have to merge in a setting with greenery as well as having to give a warm feeling. The colours looked lighter on the website than when when we placed the chairs indoors. However, when light filters through they seem much lighter. The chairs i purchased are very nice chairs, but i'm not sure if they are exactly what i was looking for. Difficult to keep clean, not sure if it's because of the matte finish. I was a little dissapointed with the overall size. I have a very small kitchen table, so the measurements had to be exact. the back of the chairs curve instead of being straight up, which changed the way they fit into my kitchen. The chairs were an awesome price for the quality. Very heavy and sturdy chair, not like the chairs i've seen at dept. stores. Pleased with my chairs."..." Read more

We needed new dining room chairs and didn't want to spend three hundred dollars on just one chair. These were a great value and they look good. We were looking for chairs that were sharp but also warm and inviting -- we didn't want super formal chairs that you're afraid to sit in. The chestnut finish matches Danish teak furniture really well, which is what we were trying to do. The best thing about them is that they come fully assembled so they are nice and sturdy. The only negative thing i have to say is that here and there the staining was inconsistent. One of the chairs had what looked like a couple of droplets of finish -- like someone had let it drip.
