We already owned a table / chair set that was purchased a few years ago but only came with two chairs. These BI chairs were an exact match so we ordered a set. In addition to these chairs we also ordered a coffee table and end tables. The descriptions for the coffee/end tables indicated assembly required. The description for these BI chairs does not indicate assembly required (that I could see). So beware – you must assemble them with limited instructions based on pictures and few words. Four legs come with the set. Once we had the first chair frame assembled (prior to screwing on the seat) we set the chair on the floor and discovered that one chair leg was a bit longer which resulted in a wobbly chair. We took the chair apart, evaluated the four legs and paired them up according to best similar length. Despite these efforts, both chairs ended up being a bit off kilter."..."  Read more

We have an undersized dining space, so we utilize am expandable table and these very attractive folding chairs when entertaining. The chairs are excellent in function. Very strong (several people exceeding 300 lbs have used them, no signs of distress). The chairs collapse to approx 6" in depth and stand without needing to lean when in their collapsed form. I would say they are actually lighter than steel folding chairs, so very easy to move. I purchased 6 chairs. One is very difficult to open. I believe they become much easier as you get them open and closed. It can be a challenge to make sure you only grab the wood and not the cushion when opening and closing the chair. If you grab the cushion, the screw that holds the back of the cushion down will pop out, and you can't get it to take hold again. The chairs have not shown any issues despite missing this screw (I've lost it on two chairs so far). There are other screws holding the cushion on at other points along the seat frame. All in all, very sturdy and good looking chairs. Aside from disposing of packing material, no assembly required. If you are trying to expand your space without using steel chairs, these are a very good option."..."  Read more

We needed a couple of extra chairs to complement our existing mission style dining room furniture. These folding chairs are a perfect match to our permanent furnishings -- both the design and the finish are an exact match. The chairs are very well built and turn out to be quite comfortable. I was surprised that guests did not feel compelled to bolt out the folding chairs immediately after dinner. In fact they lingered over dessert and coffee and were in no rush to get up from the table. To me that was a good indication of how comfortable the chairs are. One minor complaint I have is that the instructions for opening the chairs are incorrect. We tried and tried to follow the directions that are printed on the instruction label without success. Eventually we figured out how to fold the chair open -- the procedure is nothing like the instructions say. But once you've figured it out, it's no problem at all to fold and unfold the chairs. Twelve to 15 years ago I purchased 2 Stakmore folding chairs from a local retailer. This year, I had a need for more chairs that could double for dining chairs in a casual dining area and went looking online. Found the same chair online at Wayfair at Wayfair. That was great, but the service I received was even better. From order to delivery everything went smooth as silk and on time. The chairs are the same quality as my old ones.
