The name 'Ice' fits this chair perfect. It definitely looks like that was the inspiration. Look: Elegant yet funky. Great Finish. Modern, minimalist. Goes well with glass (big windows, glass furniture etc). Does not add bulk to an area. Comfort: Excellent. Sufficient back support. Nice for relaxed sitting, may not be for sitting upright at a table. Can be used at a dining/kitchen table as well as at a work table. Have sat on this chair for 3+hours with no discomfort. Assembly: Easy. Takes 5 minute. Best way is to turn the seat over and place on a counter to screw on the leg-piece. 4 simple screws with washer. Other Features: Sturdy. Easy to move without being flimsy. We bought the transparent orange with satin finish to go with our 6 seater glass table. The orange coordinates very well with our cherrywood floor and the table's wooden legs. Our home is surrounded by forest trees and hills and these chairs fit right in. The orange is a colour that blends well with greenery. The fact that the chair is translucent means that the under-floor and backgrounds can be semi-seen through the chair. Further, the colours and material take in the colours that surround them. I would suggest orange and green where the chairs have to merge in a setting with greenery as well as having to give a warm feeling. The colours looked lighter on the website than when when we placed the chairs indoors. However, when light filters through they seem much lighter. So basically there is a difference based on where they are placed and the light source. Very happy with the chairs."..."  Read more

Some may wonder why, other than aesthetics, you would want to pay a little more than most plastic task chairs for this model? Well, the nicely finished metal base and the good hardwood floor castedrs set this apart from most, but it is not why I purchased this chair. It is mostly the comfort of the seat. I am a large fella and my wife is somewhat petite. We both find the shape of these chairs unbeatable. We have a set of the framed chairs in our dining room, so I knew what I was buying. We bought six of these chairs (black) 3 years ago and now we need chairs for a new home so we are buying them again. They are stylish and VERY comfortable. They go with any decor we are currently using them with at beautiful cherry dining room table and they look great. The new ones will go in a Southwestern adobe home.
