Kitchen Sinks

My french provincial kitchen showcase. I paid $2600 for another sink that came shattered. I found this one - just as beautiful. This sink is like a half farmhouse sink - not a huge 75 pound tub. VERY LIGHT and like a regular sink with an apron permanently attached. DURABLE! I have two toddlers (boys) who like to drop everything in the sink and no chips yet. I have even dropped my cast iron skillet in by mistake and still no marks. A few scratches rub out easily, no staining. My old sink was a standard 30"double sink. After 13 years of basically using just half of the sink all the time (15"), I thought it would be smart to get a smaller sink when I needed to replace it. The way I looked at it is I would be gaining 5" compared to what I had been using all those years. I wanted a farm house sink and I came upon this one. The lines (the gorgeous front curvature) and size looked perfect online...plus, in comparison, the price was great! So I went for it. When I received the sink (it's heavy) I rushed to open it...OMG...it's better than I had hoped for. It's absolutely gorgeous. It makes such a beautiful statement in my new kitchen. My contractor built a support box (like I said, it's heavy) in the cabinet where it sits but I still have plenty of room to store my cleaning supplies and my small garbage can. Arrived in perfect condition,Installation was simple. We also installed a new Delta Faucet. color was so close to the photo display I was not disapointed at all. The color swatches not as good. Deliverly was expediant. Now, after having the sink for quite awhile, I have noticed the rub marks that were mention,I am happy to have read that info. Would reccommend reading care and maintainence. I was not surprised or disapointed at all. The marks are not really bad at all. I clean as suggested with bleach water, and use a product called "counter Magic. I use it about every 3wks or as needed.(I am sure there are others prod.available.) I called this product comp. and they said it will work fine on my sink. So, far no probs. The cleaning regiment is not that time consuming. I clean the sink and rubber mats with soap water,take the mats out overnight. I am thinking of getting a rack but, the mats work fine for now. Than I dry it. WOW what a shine. Love the quietness of the sink. I would recommend this sink to anyone who is tired of scrubbing stains,scratches from either stainless steel and ceramic porc."..."  Read more

I spend a lot of time looking at the kitchen sink, and this one is a joy! I got the Black Corstone Shoreham from Wayfairs, because my appliances are black. My kitchen is in transition and this sink will add a lot to the look I'm going for in the end. I've spent a bit of time in European apartments this year and loved having a drainboard with the sink. That's why I wanted the Shoreham. My husband was able to install the sink easily. Okay, the black may not be totally wonderful with our hard water problem, but I will happily wipe out the drops before they turn ugly!"..."  Read more
