Kitchen Sink Accessories

We like a lot the Franke Colander for VNX-160 double bowl sink. It is a must have accessory. We also purchased the bottom grid for this sink. Very happy with both items. One very important note: make sure you have the colander for your sink before you order your countertop. Because this sink is undermount, the countertop will be installed on top of it, but because I didn't have the colander at the time my countertop was installed, now the colander sits on the countertop and not on the sink; the countertop installers didn't center perfectly the countertop over the sink and the colander needs two more milimeters on the side in order to go further down to where it is supposed to sit. And if you do not have the colander, it is impossible to tell that there is couple of milimeters offset. So the advise here is to not risk such issues and buy this accessory together with the sink and not later like I did. Otherwise a top quality item and a great experience purchasing from everyfaucet. The bottom grid for my Franke sink allows me to put my dishes, pots, etc in the sink without scratching it."

This is my 3rd drainer for the sink, with the first two being the coated versions. I found they lasted about 5 years before becoming so gunked up as to be unhealthy looking. The uncoated drain will be easier to clean, and should last a lifetime. But the uncoated drain is much less forgiving when you bang something on it. In the first week I broke a wine glass (the real thin kind) when I just bumped the lip of the glass on the grate while washing it.
