Kitchen Islands & Serving Carts

I really like this island. Simple in design with lots of storage place and plenty of room to sit at. We finished the top in a pecan satin finish and painted the rest navy blue. We had to take it apart, which was fairly easy to paint it properly. I like it because you can customize the look to suit your taste. I also like the fact that it's moveable. The top is a serious piece of wood and is durable. An option would be to replace the top with granite or get granite that fits over the top. Received this much anticipated kitchen island yesterday. The box was pretty beat up and I was a little discouraged. Opened it up and put it together and was greatly suprised. I was hesitant to purchase this item via internet without actually seeing whether it was a quality item. It took about 20-30 minutes for my husband to put it together. It is solid wood, and the wheels turn easy. I sellected this cart because of the height. I am 5'2" and I use it for my mixer when baking. It is just the right height for me. The finish is not as durable as I would like to stand up to hard use, but I am considering staining it to match my red oak floor."..."  Read more
