This kitchen island is spectacular. I recently had granite countertops and new backsplash put into my kitchen. I had a space in my kitchen that needed a large scale kitchen island and I chose to purchase one instead of having one built in. There is a video on Youtube that shows you all the features this island has. It has a removable knife rack that allowed me to store all my knives and toss the round knife rack on the counter. I use the ends of the island to display books, standing them upright so the pretty covers show instead of storing spices like the photo shows. I had a lot of contractors in and out of my house during the remodel and most thought this was a built in island as it is "furniture/cabinet" quality and not some little junky kitchen cart. Every single construction worker/contractor raved about the island and wanted to know where I got it. If the color scheme and size fit your kitchen I highly recommend this island. I also love the fact I can fit two bar stools under one side, I did not purchase the matching bar stools in the photo, I already had some that had a high back and they look great. It has a beautiful wood top, I have already decided if it doesn't wear well I will replace with granite, the base alone is worth the money. [...]"..."  Read more

After extensive research for an island butcher block table, I selected this one & am very pleased.[...] is exactly what I needed. I did have my handy man assemble it & he had no problems. I left off the hooks & placed the utensils in one of the drawers as I thought it would easy to catch on them...only a personal preference. I use it as a "transfer" station between my refrigerator & sink saving many steps back & forth. I did buy Howard's Butcher Block Conditioner to treat the top which I'm told will help keep it from scratching & staining. The drawers & bottom shelf are very handy. I couldn't be more pleased. Looked all over the web for a cherry bar cart for my dining room. This little cart was perfect. I have all Thomasville Cherry and you would never know this cart doesn't belong with the pricey stuff.
