I have a small cramped kitchen. I got this cart to replace a kitchen table that was a junk collector. Because of this cart, my kitchen looks bigger, and stays cleaner. Also, as a result of this addition, I have all the room I need to store food, and all my kitchen needs. My kitchen doesn't seem small anymore, and I actually like to cook again! Also, everyone who sees this cart, thinks it looks great, and very classy and high end looking. It took me (by myself) approximately 2 hours to put the whole thing together and I only needed help with the granite top, due to it's weight. I would recommend this to anyone, and I would also say, pay the extra for the granite top- it really gives it that great high-end finished look!"..."  Read more

My kitchen island was great. Great countertop space, adequate storage, and very nice accent to the kitchen. The kitchen island was easy to assemble; however, a few days after I installed it in the kitchen the hinges that support the fold down countertop started to break after we leaned on it a few times. We purchased this kitchen cart to replace an old budget microwave cart that had seen better days. It has a lovely style that has really spruced up our slightly dated kitchen. The white colour is very classic, not too bright and not at all 'plastic' looking. The stainless steel top is fantastic! The cart was so easy to assemble because each piece is identified with a number sticker that corresponds to the number sticker in the assembly illustrations. Foolproof! We followed other reviewers suggestions and glued the dowels when assembling the pieces and it was the right decision. The whole unit feels very solid when being moved or when the doors/drawers are opening and closing. The large castors roll smoothly and easily. I bought this cart for an unusually small space in our kitchen. We needed a cart with a small footprint and this one does the trick. Since our kitchen is small, cookbook and appliance storage are critical and we have loaded this cart with books in the bottom cupboard, plus heavy appliances (mixer, blender) on the top. The weight is fine. The cart was easy to assemble (I say this because I put it together without my husband's help!).
