Wow!!! Best product for storage we have ever used. Only sorry we did not know about them earlier There should be a way to make a container that can go in the oven. However, this would not stop me from buying more pieces. |

very pleased I use it to keep left overs fresh and to be able to see what I have in the refrig. Left overs stay fresh much longer than with any other container. The quality is excellent, the tops fit and remain air-tight. |

Less plastic, more peace of mind. We've been looking to replace our Glad plastic boxes with glass and this product was the same size. We are "make a larger then you will eat at one sitting" type cooks and then freeze the left overs for a quick dinner in the future. This rectangular size is perfect for 2-4 servings and stacks nicely in the freezer. The lids are still plastic, however the food does not have to come in contact with it, it is a water tight seal unlike the Glad boxes and you can safely thaw it via the microwave. Something we'd never do with plastic containers. Downside is that it is heavier. That should be expected. Also it won't stack as easy for storage when not in use. All and all a high quality product that works as we had hoped and will last for years if we don't drop it! |

Good concept needs fine tuning. The concept is great and the glass is beautiful and even the lids are sturdy, but the lids are very hard to snap down. I ordered two of the 64 oz. rectangular containers and the lids that came with them are very hard to snap down. I called the manufacturer and they sent me at no charge two replacement lids and did not require that I return the original lids. Unfortunately, the replacement lids are even harder to snap down and we cannot use them at all. I have not returned the two containers and will try to work with them, but if I had ordered any more than the two I would have returned them. The 64 oz. capacity really is misleading as 64 oz. goes right to the top of the brim of the glass container leaving no room to get the lid down. Even without the lid and the use of plastic wrap you would still have a mess if you attempted to put 64 oz. in the container. The manufacturer needs to either advertise them as holding less ounces or add at least another 1/2" of space so you can get the lid on. I have allot of Frigoverre glass storage that is fabulous. Some of the pieces I've had for at least 15 years and the lids are still good and not discolored. Anchor Hocking now has a new line of glass storage which I have not tried yet, but looks very nice. As much as I like the Kinetic concept I wouldn't buy it again because of the lid problem. |
