I had to do a bit of searching for a cover that suited my needs for my Kindle DX. I've been very happy with the Periscope product. Good, sturdy cover fits well and light works very well. I was hoping it would be a bit more compact and have the light in the binding like the original Kindle covers...makes them a little more compact. But I guess you can't copy the design. The light swivels to either portrait or landscape, depending on how you're positioning the Kindle. The light hits the screen nicely, unlike some of the earlier versions of other brands. I was really impressed at how snug this case is - it is easy to get the Kindle in and out of, but at the same time it holds it very firmly. The quality of this case is very high, and it works perfectly for my needs.
One note - if you have a more recent Kindle (Kindle Touch for example) I dont know if it will fit in this case. This case is designed for the third generation Kindle Keyboard, which is still available for purchase at the time of this writing.

I love it. The magnetic clasp is a bit "tootie" - could work a lot better - and I wish the light had a high and low switch. The light is so bright that I have to deflect it with the cover to keep it out of my husbands eyes when I read in bed. Also, the top left elastic band covers the Kindles on-off button so I just use the other three only, with no problem. It's a neat accessorie."..." Read more
