As a "seasoned" kindergarten teacher I knew I was going to be very picky about a table and chair set I would purchase as a Christmas gift for my 2 year old granddaughter. I looked at dozens of sets and chose 3 to have my son and daughter-in-law choose from. I added a list of pros and cons with each set and they agreed that this was the best choice. A new little sister is due in May and we all felt that a circular table would prevent possible dangers of a little one getting hurt on the corners of a rectangle design. The stools are perfect to allow comfort and safety. The ladder back chairs are beautiful, but kids tip back on them (I know!) and a little one learning to pull up to standing would certainly find this design irresistible, but a potential danger. The design of the legs on this table and stools provide great stability with no tipping. The real seal of approval was when our granddaughter was delighted seeing it and a bonus we did not think of was how she sat down sideways on a stool and easily swirled around to the table, a definite safety feature. She is petite, but still able to play and eat comfortably with lots of room for growth. There is also plenty of room for cousins and friends to join her. I had searched for a long time for a herloom table and chair set that would be as unique and sturdy as my daughter's set, some 22 years old. WELL, THIS SET IS 100 TIMES BETTER THAN THAT! I purchased this for my almost 2 year and 1 year old granddaughters. This set was the sturdiest, prettiest, most practical with undershelf, and best constructed set I have ever seen. It is made with more quality than adults sets. The table and chair is a little taller than most and I expected, but my 20 month petite granddaughter still could get on herself. The table legs are about 3" square, the bolts on table and chairs are very thick, all holes predrilled perfectly, and not too big either. Assembly was just over an hour by a yet inexperienced young dad. Only needed a phillips screwdriver for table, allen wrench for chairs was all needed there. I WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS SET TO ANYONE, AND EVEN THE PRICE IS REASONABLE FOR THE QUALITY."..."  Read more

MY CHILDREN AGES 11, 8 AND 3 1/2 ALL USE THIS TABLE. I DID ALOT OF RESEARCH ONLINE TO FIND A TABLE AND CHAIR SET THAT MY WOULD LAST MY CHILDREN FOR YEARS TO COME. EVERYTHING SIMILAR THAT I RAN ACROSS WAS EITHER REVIEWED POORLY OR WOULDN'T LAST FOR THE DURATION THAT I NEEDED. I HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL CHILDREN'S TABLES IN THE PAST, AND THEY TIP EASILY AND OUTGROW THEM WAY TOO FAST! WE HAVE YET TO TIP A CHAIR OR NOT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO PLAY OR WORK ON WITH THIS SET. WE LOVE THE STORAGE AREA UNDER THE TABLE! IT MAKES MORE ROOM TO WORK OR PLAY ON TOP. ON CHRISTMAS DAY MY HUSBAND SAT WITH MY 3 1/2 YR OLD SON AND PUT THIS SET TOGETHER IN NO TIME AT ALL. (I THINK IT WAS A 1 CUP OF COFFEE ORDEAL LOL) MY SON EVEN HELPED PUT THE SCREWS IN THE CHAIRS! [...] CAME EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED EXCEPT THE COLOR WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN I HAD EXPECTED. WE ALSO HAVE AN EXPRESSO TRAIN TABLE AND IT DOES NOT MATCH THE COLOR. THE TRAIN TABLE IS MUCH DARKER ALMOST BLACK. BUT I WOULD DEFINATELY BUY THIS SET AGAIN AND WOULD RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE! We were looking at getting a wooden table and chairs for my daughter (and one on the way). Almost every set we found was $100 or more and came with only two chairs. We accidentally found this adorable pinic style table and we love it. I'm not big into plastic toys, BUT she's not the neatest and when she makes a mess, I don't worry about clean-up! With a little elbow grease the crayons come right out and everything else easily wipes off. She's happy to eat meals there. The table has plenty of room for her cousins to eat with her and it's great for outdoors as well because it is so lightweight and easy to move. I like that there is a height adjustment and it can also transform into an easle when she's old enough. DOWNSIDE: so lightweight that when she climbs on it I cringe.
