I bought this desk+chairs set for my 14month son since he likes to draw on doodle pads and do puzzles but always on his tummy on the carpet. So I needed to get a desk for him. I got the set after doing an extensive! research on childrens' furniture (safety-both physical and chemical matters, the looks and cost, etc). The seats are a bit high for him (his height is in 95% so pretty tall kid) yet but he manages to get up there and sits by himself with no problem (although I or someone is already watching him do that). The natural wood color was a plus for me since I like bright colors for kids but the desk, I wanted it to be neutral so not to distract or tire out his eyes. Anyways, the corners are perfectly round and smooth with no danger to the kid and best of all he would insist on sitting at his table for meals, snacks, puzzles and lego times! I would leave his water in straw cup and leave fruits or snacks on plates on the table and he would play and hangout and always go to the table for his food and drink needs. IT is sooooo cute! I didn't want the table to be too low/short for him when he is standing. And we still have enough room for him to grow with it too. Perfect size to begin with and such a quality table and chair set! decided on this table after seeing it at a friends. happy with the table, easy for me (wife) to assemble, couldn't wait till hubby was ready the next day. Got this for my 13 month old, now 20 months and we spend lots of time having snacks and doing activites on the table. She also loves to use the chairs to cook and watch me cook in the kitchen. I even caught my husband standing on the chair to reach something ( a no no) he is not a little guy, no damage done. Nice looking, great quality, easy to clean. comfortable for me, daddy, and nanna to all sit with her at. Age suggestion is for 3, probably because the little ones like mine like to climb and she has used the table to dance on and the chairs as a way to climb into her crib. I'm always with her but it takes them a second and can do it right next to you in a flash. She is way better now at 20 months but still like to dance on top once in awhile... so, this can be a danger, just beware. we had no problems, but food for thought. I purchased this table and chair set for my daycare kids. Not only do they love it, but I do too! Durable, easy to assemble and cleans up beautifully! And it's one of the few sets out there that comes with 4 chairs... Perfect size for my little toddlers. Price is a little high, but compared to other sets, its the cheapest...I've done my homework on pricing. The company had it at my door in no time too. [...]Putting together the chairs is time-consuming, but once you do 2, the remaining 2 go quicker. Also I did NOT have any problems with any of the holes not lining up. I thought I might on one hole on one chair, but after re-aligning the last dowel I had screwed in, the first one went in without a hitch. My advice to put the table & chairs together without problems is to *follow the directions* and put the pieces together in the order directed, AND to do so with the chairs standing upright as if you were going to sit in them (as the directions picture you to do). Trying to insert dowels and screws with the chair laying sideways or tilted at a wrong angle may cause the holes not to line up properly.My 17 mo old daughter already loves her new table & chair set and has been sitting in various chairs ever since I finished putting it together.
