This is a great little desk for my kids. We had been wanting to put a computer desk in their playroom but all the childrens desk I could find were cheap looking and could only sit one person at a time. I wanted a simple rectangular desk, like the kind at their pre-school, but websites offering school furniture were charging $350+ for a 2-person desk. This was a great find. It is heavy and very sturdy. It is made of very solid materials. The desk came very well packaged. There is very little pieces to assemble and comes with clear directions. My husband and I had it together in less than 30 minutes. It is the perfect size for my 5 and 4 year old daughters, and there is lots of room for them to grow. My 4 year old's feet don't touch the ground in the chairs (we had to purchase those seperately). There is plenty of space to fit a comuputer, with lots of room to spare. I love that they can both sit at the desk together. All in all, this is a great desk. One other added bonus this desk has over other children's desks, this desk has 2 cutouts in the back for running computer cables through. BRILLIANT! All other desks I looked at, even ones claiming to be computer desks, did not have this feature. My friend is already talking about purchasing one for her daughter. The only downside, and this isn't much to complain about, is we could've had it together a little faster but we noticed during assembly the pre-drilled holes were a fraction of an inch off (a very small fraction), but just enough to where everything did not line up perfectly. This is a great looking desk with the typical problems. Assembly was moderate and took about 1 1/2 hours. The assembly instructions were hard to understand, like most put it together desks, at times and the diagrams were not clearly draw. Most of the assembly is screwing philips head screws into partical board construction. Like most desks, some of the screws stripped when installing so make sure you have plenty of Elmers Glue on hand to put intot he holes as you put it together. Another drawback is that the desk dosen't fit against either wall. If you are putting the desk on a wall that has baseboard molding on it, the desktop will be about 3/4" away from the wall. I believe that most desks are like this. It would be better if the desk top had a 1" over hang on the back and side so pencils and papers couldn't fall of the desk. I would recomend this desk to a friend because most of the drawbacks are similar to any other desk you would buy for any manufacturer."..."  Read more

This desk is a good purchase for the price. Being a student, I didn't have a ton of money to spend. But, I am pleased with this product. It is relatively sturdy, easy to assemble and looks good. The dimensions are also perfect; Not too big and not too small. However, if you are around 6' feet tall, you may want to consider a different desk because the leg room is severely hindered by the built in book shelf. When assembling, you should take your time and ensure that everything is in the proper place, especially when attaching the piece on the back side that holds the desk together because this piece is the most important part of the assembly. If you fail to attach this piece properly, the desk will be flimsy. When I was assembling the desk, I broke a screw off in the threading of one of the drawer handles. [...]The only other slight problem I had with this desk was with the cabinet. The door itself did not line perfectly. But this is not really noticeable to the naked eye and the door still functions properly.All in all this desk is very functional, pretty sturdy, and has good design. The dimensions are perfect and overall assembly is not difficult. I put the desk together by myself, but having someone else around to assist on occasion would be a plus. Purchased this desk & hutch for my 7 year old son, after looking at all of the children's stores (PBK, etc.). Nothing seemed to be made particularly well, and going on-line to read reviews about the quality of the desks at other stores made me definitely feel I wouldn't get my money's worth. This desk arrived a little over a week after purchasing, in perfect condition. One thing you should know is that if you choose free delivery, they will not take this off of the delivery truck for you; so make sure you have some help. This desk arrives fully assembled, (just need to attach the hutch) and it is HEAVY. We found the desk to be well-made, and attractive. It also has great features, like lined top drawer, deep bottom drawers, and the hutch has deep shelving. One of my favorite features is the included banana light in the hutch - no need to take up valuable study space with a separate lamp. Very pleased with this purchase, as I know it will last, and the price was very competitive and well worth the quality and features."..."  Read more
