This backpack is perfect for our toddler. The zippers are "beehives" that make it easy for our toddler to open and close it. I only wish that the front pocket was perhaps insulated so that he could carry his own snacks around. Even still, this isn't enough to not give the backpack a 5-star rating. We love this backpack. We own two (in two different desingns). I got this one because the first we received was so great. I was afraid it would be too small but it's super roomy while still being a good size for our 2 1/2 year old to carry to Mother's Day Out. My 3 1/2 year old also has one for preschool. It fits their school folder, change of clothes, diapers, wipes, lunch box sippy cup, shoes and more with no issues. It is well made and easy to wipe down if a spill occurs. We love this backpack. I was afraid it would be too small but it's super roomy while still being a good size for our 2 1/2 year old to carry to Mother's Day Out. It's a really cute and fun bag that would definitely stand out, but it's more for preschool that it is for Kindergarten. I bought it for my son for Kindergarten but it was too small.
