KidKraft Outdoor Cottage Playhouse - 00132

This is such a cute little getaway for my boys, 2 and 3 yrs old. They fit inside with room to spare, and love the little kitchen. I have no experience putting something like this together, but I had it whipped in two nights, and very little help from my hubby. Nothing was broken, busted, or missing. Perfect! Except for stabbing my hand with the screwdriver, it all went without a hitch. I would recommend laying out all pieces and double checking that they are all there, because there are alot of them! Overall, it's exactly what I wanted.

When un-crating this house I found a major piece cracked and broken. Had to spend a significant amount of time repairing this piece so I could assemble the house. Also found some hardware missing which also resulted in me having to make do with other alternatives I could find in my own workshop. Very disappointed considering the price. I do not recommend this product.

My 3 year old and his older neighbor friends LOVE this. It is the hit of the neighborhood. I was able to assemble this in 2 nights. I also applied a coat of Thompson's water seal on the inside and outside of each wall to give it a better water resistance. The inside of the cottage will be exposed to rain through the windows. I did have a couple of parts that were warped and cracked. I went on KidKraft website and ordered the replacement parts last night. I was also called by their customer service as a follow up, great company. I have also bought a KidKraft bookshelf and storage unit which are great. I will continue to purchase their products because of the great cost and customer service.

This playhouse is great! I purchased it for my 2 year old son and he loves to go in and play. When we received it the door frame was cracked but there were easy instructions on what to do and we received a new door from Kidcraft within one week. It did take some extra hands to it together (my husband and both grandads did the job), but it was assembled within 2 to 3 hours total. My son likes the extra features it has like the sink and the mailbox and the flower pots are a nice touch. It is very weather friendly but does require sealing about once a year per the instructions; which is really no different from most outdoor wood furniture. All in all it was a good purchase [...]!

We received this playhouse in January. The roof has already gotten discolored from being out in the weather. It was originally red and is now turning pink. The frame of the door is splitting and coming apart. I tried hammering it back in, but the wood is warped. It is advertised as being "treated" for weather, but ours obviously wasn't. the door is extremely hard to open and close if it's placed on the grass. We had to put ours on a platform. I don't recommend this product.

Great house, attractive in yard.

I put it on a 1/2 ft podium. This way the house has the floor and it is more convenient for the kids to get in and out.
