Beautiful but difficult to build
Pamela from Kenner, LA– Verified Buyer
This doll house was THE big Santa gift. So of course it had to be built and completed for Christmas morning. Before purchasing this house I read the reviews on the difficulty of building. I guess after building it is so majestic your kids are freaking out and enjoying the doll house that you tend to forget about the drama of building. And drama there was! This doll house took over four hours of building! It is most definitely a two person job. The manufacturer did a wonderful job of labeling all of the pieces even gave you extra screws! But hear me when I tell you it that on a level of one to ten in difficulty ten being the most difficult to build it rates a ten. The amount of pieces alone was ridiculous. Easily over 200 pieces. I'm not sure it that's not a high number to some but it was to us. I've built train tables and sets on my own with minimal help, but for hold this here and hold that there. Started this on my own before very quickly and by quickly I mean step one realizing I'd need another hand ASAP. All in all would I buy again? Depends, will it come built? I'd pay the $25-$35 extra for someone else to build it. Then yes I would buy again. Would I recommend it? Most definitely. My daughter absolutely adores her "big, big house with an elevator". Will it last? I believe so. It is definitely sturdy. No flimsy boards in sight. We did however have to anchor it to the wall. It's so huge we were afraid it would tip over.

My 5 year old daughter was so excited about this dollhouse! It is just AMAZING!!! I put it together myself, which was just a little challenging, it would have been easier to have someone help me put the main frame together, but still not too hard. It did take me a couple of hours to get it completely together. Once I got it put together, I was amazed at how BIG it is....Im 54 and it is eye level with me! It is so strong, sturdy, and beautiful...we just love it! We had at the Disney Princess Dream Castle, and it fell apart every time my 2 year old got near it. She cant mess this one up, its put together so well...and its big enough that they can both play with it at the same time without fussing over it ) I highly recommend this dollhouse, I think well have it for many many years!!!

We purchased this doll house for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. She wanted a Dora the Explorer doll house that cost [$] and didn't come with hardly any furniture or characters. We decided to purchase a real doll house that she would be able to play with for many years, using whichever characters she was interested in at the time. I had no problems with the ordering/delivery process. When my husband opened the boxes and saw all the pieces, he thought it would take him an entire day to assemble. It only took him a few hours, and he commented that the directions were very clear and everything went together easily. I like the fact that it is big enough for multiple children to play with. It also comes with enough furniture to fill the house. My daughter and my son (5) both enjoy playing with it, and I really think it will get used until they reach their tween years. The only imperfection I have found is that the elevator does not move as smoothly as I would like. It is still functional; it just sticks from time to time. I don't think that this is enough to lower the star rating.
Simply perfect! Best purchase in a long time!

I researched dollhouses for a LONG time before making this purchase... The dollhouse is very sturdy, the furniture is very cute and all wooden, the elevator is a huge hit. We bought it for our 3 yr. old's bday, and she seriously has played with it for hours. Our son who is 4 1/2 has enjoyed it, too, using Peter Pan and Batman figures to join the dolls. Barbie dolls do fit, but the Fisher Price Loving Family size is better, in our opinion. Both of our kids are tall for their age, but they still need a kid's chair to be able to play with the top level - we like that because they can grow into it. Definitely not the easiest thing to put together, but instructions are clear and all holes are marked specifically. Excellent purchase!!!! Would most certainly recommend it to anyone.

This dollhouse was a perfect gift for our 5 year old for Christmas. It was shipped promptly, and arrived on time. It took a couple hours to assemble, but directions were very clear and assembly was quite easy. The only downside I see is that the colored portions of the dollhouse are printed on paper affixed to composite wood, and a few corners are already starting to peel.

We purchased this for our granddaughter. She absolutely loves it!!! I had read previous reviews so I knew it would take us several hours to put it together but it was worth it. The questions I had before I purchased it were answered by way fair in a very professional and courteous way. Thank you for helping us make her birthday special!!
Arrival Condition and Assembly

This was an 1 1/2 hrs. to assemble and easy enough. No damage in shipping and all pieces and hardware where present and correct. Watch for glue(factory glue) in some of the cross dowel holes which will obstruct nut, and dowel(bolt) itself. Leave bolts/nuts loose until the ones you are working on are all lined up, then final tightening. Be sure to inspect and inventory everything before you start so you can complete assembly. If anything is damaged/missing KidKraft Customer Support excellent at getting you replacement parts ASAP.
A must have

This dollhouse is well worth the money! Not only is it very well constructed but also adorable. I have grandchildren from 3 to 12 and they all set around it for hours and play. It is their favorite toy and we have them all.
Great Doll House

DD loved this. I wish you could find other furniture to add or accent pieces but otherwise everything went together easily but it did take some time. Furniture is very sturdy. Note this is really tall so little one may need a stool. :)
