The dollhouse is very sturdy, the furniture is very cute and all wooden, the elevator is a huge hit. We bought it for our 3 yr. old's bday, and she seriously has played with it for hours. Our son who is 4 1/2 has enjoyed it, too, using Peter Pan and Batman figures to join the dolls. Barbie dolls do fit, but the Fisher Price Loving Family size is better, in our opinion. Both of our kids are tall for their age, but they still need a kid's chair to be able to play with the top level - we like that because they can grow into it. Definitely not the easiest thing to put together, but instructions are clear and all holes are marked specifically. Excellent purchase!!!! Would most certainly recommend it to anyone. Yes it takes time to put together but directions were good and keep the box nearby so you can see which way the panels go. Why is the elevator smaller than a floor of the house, though, thats kind of nuts! When level with a floor, its much shorter, would look so much better if they made it taller to match the house. Service Review Delayed a few days with shipping though, so instead of arriving with 3 nights for me to set up before Christmas, it arrived late afternoon on the 23rd (one slip up in delivery and it would not have arrived in time for Christmas) which was disappointing. It took my husband and brother-in-law 3 hours to built. One piece was broken, but it can be glued. She loves the Disney Dolls that are 12 inch tall and fit perfect in the doll house.
