This is a great kitchen with the same look and by the same makers of the Pottery Barn retro kitchen but for a 1/4 the price. Based on other reviews we were cautious putting it together because apparently the screws can strip the wood if you aren't careful and then door hinges are easy to fall apart. We haven't had this issue with my 2 and 4 year old kids playing with is regularly for over six months now. However, my 2 year old - when she was still 18 months, walked over saying "uh oh" one day and had the faucet in her hand. It won't screw back in but I still have it and have been meaning to try to reattach with some sort of adhesive. Bummer. I dont know how she did it but it is a little worrisome that my little one (who has never broken any other toys) was able to break it off when she was still pretty small. All in it has been a great purchase for the money. Fun to play with, great price and looks great, too.
You should buy this kitchen set.

My 15 mos old son absolutely loves this kitchen. All wood and sturdy parts, much better than a cheaper plastic set. I was glad it came in blue for the boy chefs out there! He loves opening and closing the cabinets, also the stove dials turn and click which is extra fun. Very happy with this kitchen and it's quality so I know it will last a long time. ( I had read a previous review saying there was a strong chemical smell that had worried me before buying, but I barely smelled anything more than new wood/paint smell that is typical of boxed painted wood.) Also, I built it all by myself, without the help of daddy! Yes, it took me a few hours, but if I can do it anyone can.

I purchased this for my daughter's first birthday. It was extremely easy to assemble. I loved that each piece was labeled numerically, this made for a faster assembly and the diagrams where great! We are very happy with the overall quality of the piece! I only wish that the sink was secured in place some how. My daughter often removes it while playing. KidKraft should offered more accessories such as pot or pans and fake food to coordinate with the theme of the kitchen set.
Perfect for a little princess

The cutest little kitchen I have ever seen. Very well made and perfect for a little princess as she grows older. Can't wait to see my granddaughter's eyes when she sees it. So realistic looking. I chose lavender because it's her favorite color. I will definitely purchase more KidKraft products in the future.
2 Piece Retro Kitchen & Refrigerator Set (smell bad)

I have been wanting to call regarding on my last ordered (Kidscraft play kitchen) I am skeptical on this unhealthy product...very strong chemicals smell. has been almost a week, i have been putting outside to air out the smells but it is still there and i am afraid to have my little girl touching it...i didnt see any reviews that mentioned about this...i am getting the bad one or people just forgot to question about it? It is a very nice piece but it is obviously should be looking into this before selling to any children...? Thinking about if i should return it or keep it out for a bit longer to see if the smell eventually be going away!!! Since i already put them together...not sure if they will take it back! Note: it's little small. (if you are familiar with the Pottery Barn Kids, this one is maybe 1/2 size smaller.)

I did not see this in person. It was sent as a Birthday gift for my granddaughter. Her father said it was very easy to assemble and seem to be sturdy. Very pleased We ordered the pink set and in the photos it seemed very nice. Pros: Great gift for a child. Nice choice of colors
Beautiful play kitchen

My daughter will be turning two next month and she loves it! The only thing I did not like was that my daughter can't open the refrigerator on her own because it starts to lean forward so we're not looking forward to making holes on the wall so we can mount it.

For those who don't want to pay $500 for the Pottery Barn alternative this is a great kitchen set. Took a little long to put together but my husband was able to do it in less then 2 hours. Directions were simple. My daughter loves her kitchen.

It took the two of use a couple of hours to put it together but it was well organized and instructions were clear. I bought one several years ago and it has held up great through 7 grandchildren. Now I naught one for my 8 th grandchild for her house. She loves it!
