KidCo Convertible Crib Bed Rail in Natural - BR100

We have a 3 yr. old daughter who never climbed over her crib rail (what?) so we kept her in the complete crib until now. It is a convertible crib and we thought it time she become a big girl and take the front rail off. This convertible crib rail was recommended by a friend and it is the best for our situation. It is the perfect length. Most bed rails are made longer for toddler beds, but this one is specific for the crib and she can easily get into and out of it. The potential problem is that if your crib does not have a box spring or base under the mattress (like ours) you will need to adjust by adding a layer of cardboard between the mattress and the springs so that the rail legs will lay flat. It sounds like a lot of work, but it wasn't. It fits tight against the mattress and hasn't budged in the month that we've had it. Certainly saves us from buying another bed before she graduates into a twin bed. Looks nice too as it is natural wood.
