Bought these (in silver) for my front doorway (to replace the cheap/ugly/junky ones the builder had used a couple decades ago). I was concerned that the metal of the shade was very thin (would it hold up? would it dent?) -- but I'm delighted with them! (Wish I could add a picture-- they look GREAT!) Installation was easy, the parts were solid (and all there!), and the lamps are great! Now, instead of weak light barely covering the front step -- the light spills down onto the walkway -- and it's the same bulbs as the old fixture! I'm going to buy two more for the side doors on either side of the house. Beautiful, useful, and just what I needed!
Great beachly feel!

These lights look fantastic! We originally purchased the smaller ones, but returned them because they were much smaller than we had expected. The mediums ones (nickel finish) are the perfect size, though for outside our one level home. They were simple to install. I recommend using large clear globe-shaped bulbs with these fixtures. Regular white light bulbs are too small and look silly. These fixtures also seem to be made of a pretty light-weight metal material, so we will see how they hold up in our bitter winter weather, but so far we love these lights!

We are in the middle of installing new siding on the house and needed new fixtures. I bought this for the back door. We haven't installed it yet but I love the way it looks and can't wait until the sidings are all done and we can actually use it!
Nice, But A Bit Flimsy

I love the way these lights look outside our house (we have the brushed nickel version), but it worried me a bit when I felt their sturdiness/weight. They are very light and don't seem like they will stand up to the elements for as long as we'd want. But again, they look really great.

I bought two of these lights in white for my patios on different sides of my home which has a cape cod sort of look. The look and size of these lights is perfect for my home. I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend these lights to others.
Just the look I wanted

I bot 2 of them for our garage apt that we rent out because they were a great price and ended up buying 2 more for our front house to match.

This light adds a little charm to the outside of our small beach house. Seems to be holding up to weather. Good value compared to other lighting.
not exactly what I wanted

The lantern that arrived looks better in the photograph, more like real copper than the one that I received. Not so happy about the quality of it, but hoping it may age and look like the others I have.
Nice Light, Nice Price

They have only been up outside for a couple of weeks, but no issues so far. The metal is a little on the thinner gauge, but the small ones allow for a 100 watt bulb, while the larger allows for up to 150 watt bulb. I believe the pictures online it looks like the larger and smaller lights are different colors, but they are identical. All in all finish is great and the price is right. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an outdoor light that won't break the budget.
