I have both the 50lb and the 70lb kettlebells by Troy Barbell. This is the same brand of kettlebell that the gym I normally go to has, so I was already familiar and comfortable with them. The finish on the handles is smooth, so if you do not like them smooth and like to use a lot of chalk, then these kettlebells wouldn't be for you. The only thing I wish this kettlebell had was a slightly larger diameter handle, but that is not enough for me to not give it 5 stars. There is a small rough spot on the top of the handle, but that hasn't yet touched my hands during any of the exercises, so not an issue at all. I use the 50lb kettlebell for most of my overhead work and the 70lb kettlebell for all pulling, swinging and squating exercises."..."  Read more

I'm a crossfitter and picked up several of these kettlebells to outfit my home gym. I got the 20lb, 25lb, 35lb, 55lb, and 70lb kettlebells.The quality seems really good. The handles are smooth with no rough edges or seams to catch on your hands when you are trying to move the kettlebells around during exercise.The price per pound for these kettlebells is outstanding! I've never seen prices less than $1.75 a pound before, so these are a great buy. [...]If there is one thing I would have to point out, its that the 70lb kettlebell I got has a very slight bevel on the bottom so that when you put it on the floor it shifts slightly. I like how smooth the handles are and I only use enough chalk to dry my hands. The balance and the volume of it is good.
