This is a lovely unusual looking ceiling light. Kind of a cool mid century-ish vibe. Love the dimension of the chrome surround, and it gives off plenty of light. A handyman installed it, and told me I'd be calling him to change the light bulbs. I thought what? and chuckled. Well, fast forward several months later...and it was time to change light bulbs. You have to disassemble the whole light to accomplish that. The dissassembling is pretty straightforward (just don't drop the expensive glass part in the process). The problem is putting everything back together. It's maddening to try and figure out how to realign the metal things that hold the surround in place....It's two person job, and in our case, a lot of cursing and wishing we had degrees in engineering. So, be forewarned - lovely to look at, unfriendly to update.

I bought this for my teenage daughters bedroom. It is just as expected and like the picture shows. Love it! I read reviews online about a hassle changing the bulbs and my electrician concurred. He said it was a good thing I purchased the LED bulbs which are longer lasting as it will not be easy when they need changing. It does have sockets for 3 bulbs so will offer great lighting.

Very pretty light fixture! My only complaint is that it does not sit flush against the ceiling so it traps dirt and bugs. Also, not the easiest to take apart to clean.
Nice retro-modern design

Beautiful retro/modern appearance and a high quality design. I installed this light in a master bedroom walk-in closet, but it can easily work as well in a hallway or smaller room. Gives off plenty of light, and if you'd prefer more ambient lighting, just use lower wattage bulbs. Installation was relatively easy, except for the fact that I could have used a second set of hands (the glass bowl is high quality and thick, and HEAVY, and you have to get it centered over a single center rod). Due to the design, I already know that changing out the bulbs will require essentially dismantling the light (ornamental metal ring, then the heavy glass globe), so I'd suggest using longer life incandescent or CF bulbs to limit the frequency of that need.
Gorgeous Retro Light

I hung this in my upstairs hallway at the top of the stairs, and it really sets off the colors I chose up there. It's a narrow, dark hallway and with this light it really brightens up the space. My only complaint is it was a bit difficult to assemble with two hands. We ended up needing 4 but it worked out and I absolutely love the look of this piece!

Great looking flush mount - I wish it took higher wattage bulbs- a little dim.
