I have contacted our warehouse, and I found that the model that is listed comes as a plug in model, however you can order an additional kit that will convert this product into a hard wired unit."

Installation was easy we just screwed it to a stud for extra strength instead of the ancerbolts they provided. The only thing she did not like is the turning switch. A rocker switch would be better.
