Jenni Chan Dots 12" City Travel Duffel

I needed a bag that I could use daily. In the past I had three different bags: my purse, my lunch bag and my gym bag. I hated having all these bags. I work out during lunch. This bag replaced all three of them. It's big enough to fit my workout clothes and shoes, make up bag, lunch and snacks i love it.

Definitely NOT a 12" bag. I feel it would be classified as a 16" bag since that's the long dimension. With careful packing, I could easily fit a week worth of stuff in this bag. It's roomy yet I have taken similarly sized duffel bags as carry-ons quite effectively and as long as I didn't stuff it to the brim, it slid under the seat in front of me with no issue. I recently used it for an over nighter with the huz and he just stuck his stuff in with mine so we'd only have to carry one bag with us. I even had room to stuff my feather pillow in the bag on top of our stuff. That wouldn't work for airline travel, since it would bloat the bag past acceptable dimensions, but for a car trip it was fine. Complaints: a) The smell. I sprayed a little perfume in the bag to mask the odor. Those who are smell sensitive wouldn't be able to get away with this. It is a very strong chemical/plastic odor that I assume comes from some sort of lining/waterproofing. I'd rather my bag be water resistant than odorless, so I'll deal with it. (Others may not feel that way.) b) I really, really wish there were two zippers for the top pocket. The zippers are lovely and seem sturdy, but there's just one for the top bag and sometimes it's nice to have the two that come together for convenience of getting in to one side of the bag or the other without having to pull the whole thing wide open. It's just a tiny complaint, but I thought I'd mention it. I'd really say this is a 4.5 star bag and if the smell could be more easily dealt with I'd even rate it higher.

When I ordered this with a larger case I was worried about the size being to small for travel needs. The bag is actually 16 wide x 12 high. This was a gift for my Grand Daughter and she loves it.
