The picture here though looks like a hickory or something look at the pictures with the couches that's what it really looks like. A few things to keep in mind: 1) The board lengths say random but there are only about 3 different length none of which are over 48. there were about 8 boards in the 800 sq ft I ordered that weren't exactly like the others I've only installed unfinished flooring before and those lengths are truly random with no two alike between 24 and 65. 2) Be careful when laying the boards to make sure there are no corners that are already delaminating (plys coming apart) I had one board that must have been going bad in the middle of the floor and a week after finishing the whole house it started to come up in the corner. I face nailed it back down flush and has been holding for about a month now. 3) The floor isn't the most durable. Dropped 1 12 PVC elbow about three feet off the floor and it left a pretty significant dent. The hand scraped look helps hid some of the dents and scratches you WILL put in it. I don't think I could see this floor holding up for anyone with a large dog though. I nailed the floor using 1 14 narrow crown staples and I'm extremely happy with how easy the installation went. I'd recommend the bynford 4 in 1 flooring stapler with Senco staples for anyone wanting to nail it down. Did over 800 sq. ft. with no jams! All in all I'm happy with the finished result, aside from it taking longer to rack the floors and stagger the joints with the not so random lengths and the one delaminating board (my fault for not catching it probably) it's a pretty solid product. If you're dead set on wood floors, on a tight budget, and aren't worried about years and years of durability this is by far your best bet!"..."  Read more

It took my wife and I a full day (8 hours) to rip up the rug and install this floor. We installed it "floating" on top of our concrete base. The end result is fantastic. Looks much better, easy to clean. I really like the hand scraped finish. The one small downside was that the board lengths were slightly shorter than I had expected."..."  Read more

Beveled Edges have a very distinctive, deep V-groove.

Microbeveled or Eased Edges have a less distinctive, more shallow V-groove between planks.

Kissed Edges are even subtler than Eased Edges, about 1/2 of the depth.

Distressed Edges have some slight irregularity often matching the look of distressed planks.

Square Edges create a smooth, uniform surface from plank to plank.
