Don't judge a book by its cover The chair looked great on-line: attractive, made of hardwood, weatherproof, and reasonably priced. I was disappointed with the product[...]Also while I think that the base is made of hardwood, I have my doubts that the actual chair is hardwood: it is very soft and it will mar very easily; also as mentioned where it was scuffed the wood was very light. I have real concerns about having it out in any weather: sun or rain as I don't think the protective coating is adequate - it just looks like a hardwood stain to make it look like hardwoodThe assembly instructions were quite good; however, when putting it together I found that the dowels used to connect the various joints were too big for the holes and even, as suggested in the installation instructions, when "encouraged" with a hammer, they would not fit the hole - I had to reduce the size myself. So all in all it looks nice and feels comfortable, but I doubt that it will stand-up in any kind of weather and it will mar/scuff easily and be hard to maintain. |

Nice having a heavy person sit on the swing makes the swing seem less sturdy the gliding action could be better |

Very satisfied with this product! Purchased product for a restful and comfortable retreat into a wooded spot in my yard. The comfort and construction of this product exceeded my expectations. Love it! |

Barrington Collection Double Glider by J I love my new gliders. I bought 2. I am a little concerned about the thin slats not holding up but I am enjoying the heck out of them. I am sewing cushions cause with the amount of time I spend on the glider it is absolutely necessary. It requires a thin cushion that is a little smaller than most but what the heck, I can sew a straight line! |
