    This mandolin works out great. The size and the qaulity are both what I had hoped and expected it would be.

    my first food slicer

    I have tried a number of vegetables and potatoes. It does a nice job slicing even slices. It seems safe. keeping your hands protected and fingers away from the blade. I perhaps haven't gotten the hang of it yet fully. I see the benefit of using it if you are chopping lots of items. For just regular dinner for my family, a knife would do just as well. It is a little tricky to get started, but with practice, I think I'll get it going much more smoothly.
