dissapointed in quality and assembly instructions
Jennifer from League City, TX– Verified Buyer
We decided to buy this cabinet even after reading other reviews because we have had difficulty finding a similar product to match our existing furniture. While overall the appearance of the cabinet is nice, I rate the overall quality and assembly instructions as poor. We took the unit out of the box and all parts were there, but the assembly instructions are incorrect. You cannot follow the assembly instructions because it tells you to put screws in the wrong holes, the pictures are sometimes backwards, and it shows holes that do not exist. On top of this, the assembly instructions lack details. The locking mechanism doesn't work properly, and there is no way to secure the ring around the lock so it falls off every time you open the drawer. The customer service team for Inval is not very responsive and selecting several phone menu options sends you to the same persons voicemail. The instructions are primarily written in Spanish. I would not recommend this product, especially for the price. I expected to get a lot better quality for this amount of money. This will be the last time I buy an Inval product.
I like the cabinet

It would be nice if it were fully assembled, but it was fairly easy to put together. The quality seems to be good and I like the filing cabinet.
I bit to be desired

I read the 1 Star Review above and thought, I can figure out the directions without a problem. Well at the end of the night I had a file cabinet but it was not without a fair amount of frustration. To begin with the instructions are just a collection of pictures which show you the basic idea of how the pieces fit together. however if you want to figure out which holes to put screws into (For the drawer slides especially) and which ways to orient some of the directionally dependent pieces good luck. Basically I had to dry fit everything together before actually assembling to insure that I wouldn't have to rebuild the cabinet several times and ruin the partical board. Once assembled my drawers all slide about as easily as I would expect, however they do not line up with each other and the gaps between the drawers and the cabinet body vary quite a bit from drawer to drawer. In all, for a home office none of these issues will bother me, it's built, the price is right but I would caution anyone that needs directions to steer clear of this piece. If you're like me and you're confident you could piece it together without any instructions you'll be able to get it together but some mild frustration. (FYI use 2 washes on each screw with the handles, the screws they included are too long for the handle and will snap the head off if you try to tighten the screw with only one washer, want to guess how I found out)
What a nightmare...:-(

Instructions are awful. Spanish is first and English is in small print below. Most of the type is to name the parts. The rest is mostly pictures with just a few cautionary notes.
