I have 10 of these chairs in my kitchen and they support the daily abuse of six very active children and their friends. The slab-wooden seats are not very comfortable so we covered them with dense foam and a fabric cover. Vast improvement. The chairs themselves are very sturdy. But buyers should know these are made of rubber wood: some of the long pieces are composite pieces of rubber wood with visible seams. Also. rubber wood has a very distinctive grain pattern that will never be confused for maple, birch, or any other domestic hardwood. Unless you paint them, these are never going to be appropriate for a formal dining room. We used a Minwax sealer, Minwax oil-based stain and three coats of water-based Minwax satin polyurethane to finish. Color matches perfectly our hardwood floors and cabinets. Overall a great value and I am very pleased with the final product. Highly recommended for the right application..
Mission Side Chairs

Chairs arrive quickly and were exactly what we expected. My only complaint is that on one chair there is a "knot hole" that once the chair looks finished looks like a spot of grease that you can't get off. There appears to be nothing that can be done about it according to the guy who refinished the chairs. It does detract from the overall look of that one chair - the rest are great.

I was slightly hesitant to order these but I am so glad I did. They were finished with a rustic paint and they look awesome and are holding up great! I highly recommend these - you can't beat the price.

These chairs came quickly, and are really solid. We were looking for something of good quality to match our new table and these definitely work! Pros: Solid, sturdy chairs, and cheap! Cons: none

I think the quality was good and it is everything I expected it to be. The delivery was on time and assembly was easy too.

Very pleased with quality of wood and construction. Needed some extra fine sanding before painting. Easy to assemble. Look great.
All just fine

There were a number of screws missing from the packages. The chairs have been stained and we are using them at the cottage. They are nice and sturdy with the new hardware.

This was a great deal. Chairs were solid and looked great. Very easy to assemble. Would recommend these to others.
1 broken chair, 2 bad screws, 2 good chairs
Lauren Lauren from CARMICHAEL, CA – Verified Buyer
I ordered 4 chairs, 2 came in each package. In one package, the chair was broken-it looks like a forklift pierced the package and did the damage. In the other package, I was given screws without threads. The chairs I was able to build were easy and VERY sturdy, and feel that they will last a long time. I plan on priming and painting. them. But am very disappointed and will not be using wayfair for any other future purchases or recommendations
Not the color I was expecting
Amanda from Grand Blanc, MI – Verified Buyer
The chair is very pretty, I was only expecting a different un finished color thus the lower rating. Other than that the wood is sturdy and easy to assemble.
