A nice looking ottoman, but functions less nicely. The first day we had this my 4-yr-old son somewhat forcefully sat a toy on its surface it ripped the leather (a puncture wound). While trying to repair it with a leather repair kit I noticed other little scratches in the leather at the edge of the wood frame. Guess Ill be coloring those with a brown Sharpie. Maybe well buy a nicer, more expensive ottoman when there is less aggressive toy play in our house. (the hingescrews havent broken yet as posted by others... but weve only opened it 2-3 times so far)
Looks can be deceiving. Dont waste your money!!

I wish I would have heeded the warnings of others and saved my money. I ordered the multi-color one, and it does LOOK like the photo, but that's the only positive thing I can say. The item is made in China, so I didn't expect high quality, but this is really flimsy, even by China standards. Wayfair's description heading says leather, but it is cheap vinyl. The decorative tacks are not evenly spaced in areas. Many reviewers complained about the tiny screws on the hinges that fell out. The problem isn't just the tiny screws, but also the cheap 38 particle board that this item is constructed from. No matter how long the screws are, the thin particle board just won't hold them and they will strip-out quickly. The walls are so thin, that the back wall flexes-in when the lid is opened. The lid moves from side-to-side, so be careful when sliding it around, or you will rip the lid off. The Wayfair Rep stated this item has a weight capacity of 250 lbs. I find that hard to believe. I weigh about 175 lbs and the top bowed-in when I tried to sit on it. Also be aware that the feet are dyed (not stained) and the dye bleeds easily. I cleaned the feet with a damp cloth and a dark purple color came off on the rag. No matter how much you clean it, the dye keeps coming off on the rag. Will probably leave circular purple rings on my carpet over time. I now understand why this has to be sold online. If it was in a store where people could actually inspect it, I doubt anybody would buy it, especially at $125. My honest assessment is that it's worth less than $50 retail. I'm surprised Wayfair would sell such a low quality item. I guess people are gullible like I was, and buy based on a photo. I will keep the item as an over-priced decorative piece, since it's not worth the hassle & cost to return it. Hopefully you won't make the same mistake. Trust me... don't waste your money.

cute ottoman, love the design that is on ours (which is not shown in the picture for our review). can't say that it is very sturdy but good for guest room purposes.
Looks nice but falls apart

I think it looks nice especially for the priceIt's not evident in the pics but the lighter of the two colors in the blend has a print and I thought this was a nice surprise. The materials are cheep but again [$]. The problem I have is the screws used on the hinges and stays where tinny and there is no stop that secures the lid in place. So the 1st weekend my 4 kids had with it the top was ripped off and every screw is stripped out. I am a builder so I will re-secure the lid with different fasteners and it will be fine but unless this is an option for you, I would not purchase unless the users are all adults and careful. I read reviews prior and new what I was getting into so this is, as expected for that price. I personally don't have buyers remorse but selective buyers only.
Total Piece of JUNK!!!!

Not bad piece, but kind of cheap-looking

It's the perfect size to act as a footrest/storage/extra seating for my small apt space. It was easy to assemble, and seems sturdy enough. However, there is a strange "hand-tooled" floral pattern on the light-toned leather squares, which I guess I wasn't expecting. It clearly looks machine-stamped and gives the ottoman a cheap look. I would've gone with a solid "leather" ottoman instead if I had seen the product in more detail. Otherwise, good value for money.
Good price. Good quality.

A great size for small spaces. The actual color is lighter than the picture. Overall I am pleased with the purchase

I love this... its very cute. Great storage... but hinge is flemsy and broke. Hubby fixed it, but it broke again. Still great though. We just lift the whole top off when we need to get inside.
