I loved the sun ray pattern that's on the back part of this bench, which is why I purchased it for my front porch. It was easy to assemble. It's definitely not as solid as I would have expected, The slats of wood that make the sun rays for the back, are questionable, as far as the strength of the wood is concerned. I've only that had the bench for a week, so I can only hope that it holds up over time.
Lovely Sapporo Outdoor Garden Bench

The bench is a wonderful addition to our garden. It looks great. Assembly was not as easy as it should have been. We needed to replace some screws with longer ones and the hardware supplied required some trial and error before all could be tightened as required. The bench brace was cracked upon delivery but easily epoxied to correct the problem. However, the final product was all we had hoped for and is as portrayed in the website photo. I would recommend this bench as a perfect addition to any garden.
Some additional assembly required

The picture is an accurate representation of the bench. The construction is adequate, but not precise and therefore the hardware supplied to attach the bench seat did not fit and I had to find alternate screws

I love the look of this garden bench. It is beautiful! Not too hard to put together and really sturdy too. Made with good quality materials. Hoping it will last a long time.
Nice bench with design flaw
Brian from Chelsea, MA
I purchased this bench in December and have just purchased a second one. It was easy to assemble and looks good. However, there is a support in the center of the seat that broke immediately on mine. It's very poorly designed and is shaped so that a bump-out is almost guaranteed to split along the grain. That said, the support does not appear essential -- we haven't noticed a need for it. In my opinion, the cheap price and nice look make up for it. But buyer beware.
Nice Look, Hard to construct

The bench was hard to construct. some of the parts wouldnt fit together correctly and that ended up not allowing the bolts to screw in properly. Once it was finally together, it was a little wobbly due to the bolts not threading completely so i had to add some of my own screws to get it stable. Im pleased with the overall look of the bench, but not pleased with the construction.
value for money - so far!

Used for seating by my pond. Nice size and design but centre seat support broke when sat on. The "short-grain" timber at each end needed an extra, longer screw for strength
Very attractive bench
