The good, the bad, and the ugly. But in the end, best deal for the price.

I bought this canopy in terra cotta last spring to put on my small deck out back. The assembly did take a while, and a few people (3 of us) to get it all together. It works great for what I needed! Provides shade, and keeps the rain off the deck. The not so good: After several months, as the canopy material stretched out some, water began pooling in it during rain storms. The ugly: We got a snowfall of about 5" and my canopy top collapsed under the weight. I am actually re-ordering this same canopy again to replace it. The framework, which I have put lights on and have bolted down to my deck, is still fine. I'll just be using the top framework and new canopy and replacing the bent destroyed top framework with the new. For the price, even if I have to replace it each year, this is a great deal. It looks great, and does what I wanted. Lesson learned though, as we move into next winter, I will be taking the fabric off before any snow comes our way. I know it wasn't made to withstand snow, so I won't deduct stars for my demise, I should have taken the fabric off of it. I did give 4 stars because of the water pooling problem. I may try to figure out a way to prevent that on the new one, but not exactly sure how I would accomplish that just yet.
Quite happy with this purchase

This gazebo looks gorgeous on our patio! It is exactly as pictured on the site, including the terra cotta color of the fabric. Great value at a good price. It rained a few days after assembling the gazebo, and I'm pleased with how well it handled the rain. The outdoor furniture under it did need to be wiped off, but it appears to be from the wind blowing in the rain from the sides. The underside of the fabric, and the metal framework covered by the fabric, did not get wet. The only complaint I had was with the minimal instructions provided, but with some trial and error, my wife and I were able to assemble the gazebo in about four hours, within the confines of our deck, which is only about a foot and a half wider than the gazebo itself. Definitely not a deal breaker in any way, but it would have been much easier with more steps included in the instructions. Overall, this is an excellent item, and I highly recommend it.
Great looking Gazebo finished our Patio.

This Charleston Outdoor Vented Gazebo gave our whole patio a completely different look. It made the whole plain look of our backyard,.. look finished. We arranged all of our table, chairs, couch and matching items underneath, and added two hanging potted plants and my favorite chimes. It is directly outside our family room doors, and it not only provided shade and coverage from the rain, but looks like a very expensive newly decorated patio from the inside of the house. This house has those slat-style covers which allows rain and sun to beat down on you while sitting outside. This Gazebo was the answer. We had several to chose from, but, this one was simple to assemble, not as ornate and the price was really good. My husband put it up by himself in just one day. It also gave our big German Shepard a place to lay in the shade on those hot summer days, and shelter from the rain. We chose the Natural color top, with the black rod-iron framework, and added a full size natural color bamboo shade on one side where the sun sets. It looks terrific and serves our purpose just right. It looks even better in person, but the picture on the site is very close. Great quality material and framework, as we have already gone through this summer with high winds, rain and plenty of heat and sun. It is still in perfect condition. It is a great buy. You can't go wrong. We are so happy that we made this investment. Thanks from a happy customer.

Not too difficult to assemble. Very attractive. So far, has proven to be sturdy, when breezy, even though it has not been affixed to the deck (I think the vent makes a big difference). Lights have already been added to the upper frame and I'm thinking of trying an outdoor fan next summer. Since it was assembled around 2 months ago, we have spent more time on the deck. I did not give it 5 stars only because I want to see the further tests of time and weather. Overall, a very good value and I would recommend this product to a friend.
Looks good & easy to assemble. Great value.

Was very easy to set up. Didn't have an issue with bolts falling into legs like some. I just put the nut on before I put the bolt in. Light green was very bright but we got used to it and it fades some to a very pleasant green and looks great in the garden :) Looks like the top will hold up for a long time we will se after the summer. It is a stretchy material that was very easy to put on for 1 person in 5 minutes. Was able to assemble with one person with assistance for 5 minutes to stand things up. Total assembly time was under 2 hours. BTW don't even try it with the tools that come with it. If you don't have real tools go buy some LOL
What's a title?

I purchased this gazebo to replace one we had bought and installed on our patio ten years ago. Since we just installed it yesterday, we have yet to learn how it will perform over time. Thus the middle star rating. Pros: 1. It was the only one we could find in the same size, shape and canopy color as our old one. 2. Despite a couple of the issues noted below, it took somewhat less overall time to assemble than the old one. 3. The legs take up much less space than did the old one. Cons: 1. No assembly instructions or parts list were included in the package. 2. The system for fastening the tops of the legs to top apron is Machiavellian. How much could it increase the cost to weld tapped strips of steel to the tops of the legs for screwing directly into? That would save about two man hours of assembly time - not to mention a lot of colorful language in the neighborhood. 3. I don't believe this new gazebo will survive the ten years that our old one did. Consider that the shipping weight of this one is 55 pounds vs. over 150 pounds for the old one. Every part of this one is thinner and lighter gauge. I hope it won't blow away in a storm. 4. I can see through the canopy. That concerns us that it may not provide much sun protection, which is the whole purpose of the gazebo.

Very nice gazebo love the lime green. Was somewhat disappointed that it didn't have vent holes to allow rain to drain to prevent pooling around sides. Had problem with pooling first heavy rain so purchased grommets and installed them around sides and solved the problem.

This gazebo was easy to assemble and I put it together all by my little self. I also added gazebo lights and we have been enjoying winters and summers under its canopy. The windy season and the rain did not affect it at all. I never even anchored this to the ground and it's been just fine. We are thrilled with this purchase.

I bought this Gazebo last Memorial Day (2013) weekend and I absolutely love it! Makes summertime in Austin almost tolerable. So far it has held up well and I live in an area that has high wind and the canopy top has held up well although it has faded from the sun. Pretty easy to put together--I did 95% by myself but had to ask for help when you put the frame upright--you need an extra set of hands to hold it together as you attach the screws. I used lag bolts to secure to my deck and it is very sturdy. Add some lights and solar lanterns and you have your own tropical paradise.

I did a lot of comparisons and found this one to be the best in quality for the price. The assembly was pretty simple but a bit challenging due to the size of the pieces you're assembling. You'll definitely need a couple of people helping you with this and don't rush! I made the mistake of putting one of the hook things in one of the legs of the gazebo and it took a good 20 minutes to get it out. Overall I recommend this.
