Paul Timman United States (1972 - )

Paul Timman is one of the giants in the tattoo industry, whose clients include Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore and Ben Affleck. For Paul, art and tattooing are a perfect mix. After graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Art, Department of Sculptured Glass he began tattooing out of his apartment. As word spread and he outgrew his premises Paul joined the Toledo Tattoo Company. A year later Paul moved to Hollywood, and began working at Sunset Strip Tattoo, the most famous tattoo parlor in the country. More than ten years later Paul is one of the leading tattoo artists in the world and recognized as a specialist in tribal and traditional Japanese designs. Now Paul is coming full circle to his start in glass and inking his world renowned designs on porcelain.

Tattoo Lotus is the latest collaboration between legendary ink-man Paul Timman and Ink Dish. The floral imagery of chrysanthemums and lotus flowers is taken from Paul's iconic sleeve designs. Outlined florals echo the stencils the artist uses on his clients' arms. The stylized flowers are Asian in origin and have become a staple of modern tattoo design.
