My hobby is hydroponics, I'm not a professional and I don't have a lot of money or free time. I've seen hydroponic systems from $40 to over $500. When I was making my decsison I wanted to get something that would be inexpensive, but also be versitle and let me grow many plants at once. They Emily's Garden was the first hydroponics system I ever bought. In fact is is the only professional system I bought. Some of the less expensive kits say you can grow up to 5 plants at once, but the plants are all going to grow in about a one foot square so you are still kind of limited to smaller plants or one or two bigger ones. The more expensive kits do very well in growing many larger plants and a lot of them are expandable but you pay the price. Even the cheaper of the expensive kits cost over $300.So, there I was, spend a little money and grow one or two plants, or spend a great deal of money and grow a lot of plants. I then saw the Emily's Garden system. It wasn't huge so I couldn't replace the outdoor garden with it or grow too many big feeders at once, but it was big enough where I could grow a tomato plant or two and some peppers and maybe a few other vegetables if I had the desire to do so.I'm happy I went with the Emily's garden, it is easy to set up, and if you can keep yourself from going crazy it will be able to grow a few big feeders at once just not 6. Just fill the other pots with smaller feeders and you will be happy.I've done hydroponics a bunch of different ways. So far the Emily's garden has been the easiest and gives you the most bang for the buck (6 growing areas)Previously I had a squash, tomato, pepper, zucchini, cucumber, and strawberries in the same Emily's garden at the same time. Of course I had to put in 2 gallons of water a day as they would drain the reservoir dry (cucumbers, zucchini, and tomatoes all at once and they are all pretty good feeders. I was also able to grow one tiny watermelon in it.You can see some pictures of it I took while I was growing that stuff here. I take a bunch of pictures as the plants grow which I keep here [@] I'm only allowed to attach a few in this review but I have over 50 that I took so far. I love this system."..." Read more
