Imperial Cat Large Orca Whale Cardboard Cat Scratching Board - 00114O

I have an older cat who doesn't play much but he loves this and scratches it.....and then lays down in the curve of it, his new favorite place. Had to weigh it down with a rock though as it's very light.

Decent size - but I missed in the description that it was corrugated paper - not sisal. So far my cats have been indifferent to it - they are used to the sisal scratchers. Might be a bit overpriced for the corrugated paper scratcher - but this price wasn't bad compared to the ones similar in the stores. Wayfair does have good prices.

My cat absolutely loves this cat perch! The orca comes with fresh catnip which any cat would go crazy over. She plays with this toy just about every day and I would definitely recommend it!

Makes a good scratcher and it's okay to sleep on, as long as my cat steps on it from the top. If she steps on it from the tail end it tips.

I leave in a white leather condo D yes I cover the leather with white sheets but this scratcher saved me. It is now part of my cat circuit ritual but Morgan does not sleep on it, she is too big D

Every time I go see my cat he goes and scratches it, sits on it and goes to town on it...he absolutely loves this whale scratcher and I would recommend it to all kitty lovers. I think i have to buy another one since he scratched the heck out of it..lol

My cats really like this, but I think it's mainly due to the addictive, 'crack' like catnip that came with the product. I've never seen my cats go this crazy over catnip... ever! I have a 9lb and 15lb cat and when they were going nuts, this whale flipped all around the place. From one side of the room to the other, banging up and down on the floor. I hate to call that a complaint since my cats went crazy. It's definitely smaller than it appears in the pic. My 9lb tries to fit in that hole, but it's too small in diameter for him to fit his whole body through. Since I have not replenished the catnip, they don't use it as much. I did catch one of them scratching on it earlier, so I think they are using it. They have other scratching posts, so I think they use them equally. I'm not sure if I would buy this again since it's so cheap in construction, but I'm not upset over the purchase. It's good for a low price scratcher and maybe for lighter weight cats. I will definitely be repurchasing the catnip though.

We have two, one for the tv room and one for the patio. Cat has his own furniture. He loves them. They have become his safe haven. He sits on one of these for hours out on the patio over looking the the garden i.e. the birds!!!

My cats tell me that this 21.75-inch "large" Orca is way too small to actually use for adult-claw maintenance/scratching, let alone stretching. (Our cats range from approximately eight pounds to 15.) They also tell us, the Imperial Catnip that comes with the Orca scratcher is exceptional! Our cats loved it every bit as much as the cute little girl in the photo. I think kittens would enjoy the "large" Orca a lot, it is very stable (don't tip easily) and has the hole in the middle to capture kitten's imagination. We think it is safe, and cute, but over-priced for the size. It is Cardboard, so it should be eco-friendly.
